2 people/wallets control about half of all dogecoin. there is also no limit on the number of coins. there are going to bea lotof folks left holding the bag when any of the top folks cash out of this obvious pump/dump.

I keep seeing folks expecting a huge spike after Elon does SNL. But with that being common knowledge, that event is essentially already priced in. That's how that typically works anyways. I'm not saying there won't be more folks pumping it, but the news of that event is widely known which means it was priced in as news. As such, the event itself after that usually has little impact...

Bought in $1k at $0.3. Plan to sell around $0.88-$0.92 if it gets there, otherwise panic sell after SNL to still get a nice profit, at least % wise.

Wish I bought in more than $1k at $0.3 but I didn't have the liquid for it to do so responsibly.

Took out my gains around 0.67. Couple thousand doesn’t hurt. Kept my initial investment in, see what happens.

^^^ aaaaaand that's exactly what happened. the number of folks on social media that are shocked by it being down 40% and still going down (currently down to 43 cents) is pretty sad and laughable at the same time. if you didn't know the fundamental "buy the rumor, sell the news" stuff and waited until after theactual eventthinking your sh!tcoin would THEN go up, well, that's what you get. this is basic stuff.

if you don't know these things, probably have no business putting any of your money into, well, anything....

Bought in for $500 at .4 and if you look at the trends it's gonna bounce back highest I had in it was $12.500 USD I'll just keep holding it if I lose $500 no big deal but in the almost 2.5 months I had it seen much larger swings. I'll probably throw another $500 in when goes below .40 for the lol's

I will agree with that. I do not believe it's BTC but I do believe it will go above $1 like anything it's speculation based on the charts etc

You either make money with a pump n dump and do this multiple times. Or you hold and hope for the best. Obviously the latter can really make you rich if you get lucky.
That said, doge is now worldwide famous. Even if it goes down, there will always be hopeful people buying in on the crash waiting for it to go up. I see it rising again for sure. It's not some unknown coin that will go back to $0.00001.

I feel bad for coin investors. With hopes of becoming rich through hard work fading in America, people are grabbing at carrots being dangled in front of them. The millennial and zoomer version of scratch off tickets.

And the time has finally come, Liz Warren has launched the eco attack on cryptos.https://finance.yahoo.com/news/eliza...161724029.html

“I also think with bitcoin, and with the other cryptocurrencies, I think there's a real issue about the environmental impact as well, this whole notion of how much energy is consumed just to keep the currency tracking going,”

Is anyone ever going to call Elon on his hypocrisy of on one hand running an eco car company and at the same time pushing the energy hog cryptos, that do nothing for society other than facilitate people taking more idiotic people money?

Curious, whats the environmental impact of gold and diamond mining? Both a pretty damn useless. Yes, they have their use cases, diamond cutting blades, and gold platted connectors. But the bulk of seems to be for hording because of "value".

One of the largest diamond sellers just said they are going 100% lab made. Diamond mining is done long term

https://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...nd-lab-mining/

The world’s biggest jeweler announced Tuesday it will drop mined diamonds from its glass cases and sell only lab-generated ones, a pointed move for an industry that relies on scarcity for value and a reflection of consumer demand for sustainability and ethical sourcing.

Copenhagen-based Pandora’s foray into man-made diamonds, which can be produced at a fraction of the cost and time, reflects a reorientation of the jewelry market brought on by the pandemic and the sentiments of younger buyers, who are more likely to factor in environmental and human rights concerns when choosing products.

There was always a faction of crypto that wanted this but back in 2013. Because there are some projects that don't use mining and thus the 'environmental costs' just consist of a low cost low electricity Pi3 raspberry rigged into a server.

If this happens it will probably cause upheaval (since Bitcoin is often the medium to purchase other things) but otherwise invest in coins that don't use PoW.

Dogecoin is basically a crypto whales dream coin. They can pump it up using whale tactics, the "typical doge owners" will then buy & buy and post on reddit. Then the whales can dump to the clamor of "typical doge owners" saying to buy the dip and diamond hands.

Basically the average dogecoin owner NEVER SELLS and is illiterate to sell signals. If anything they only buy more of this coin that has no intrinsic purpose & infinite supply. It's like professional whales came up with it as their own dream coin.
