Companies are either accepting dogecoin as payment or have flat-out invested into it, like Kronos. It's the first coin getting celebrity endorsement and $5/coin is very modest compared to over priced bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, etc.

I think NEM might be the highest valued non-inflating coin. It released in 2015 with 8,999,999,999 coins and still has 8,999,9999,999 coins in 2021.

If anything it's deflationary. Anytime a holder dies (and doesn't pass on their private keys), forgets about the coins forever or accidently throws out the only hard drive with the keys: coins are removed forever.

NEM did this with a wide distribution on Bitcointalk by giving away coins to 3,000 people IIRC.


But the market hasn't valued this deflationary aspect of NEM that much.Mining coins got a lot of free advertising / PR due to the whole mining stuff for example.
