The Battle of Blair Mountain was the largest armed uprising since the Civil War, The Battle of Homestead was another. The Colorado Coalfield Wars including the Ludlow Massacre and the Columbine Mine Massacre. There's plenty more if you learn the history of labor struggles in America, and you won't learn much of this in public school.
You can believe in a person, you can believe in a country, that's pride in being an American. I'm no friend of the government either, nor am I a friend of the rich man. Compliance is not necessary, sometimes rebellion is the right thing to do. The owner class does not give a damn about our country, they're glad to hop on a jet and jump ship. They want you to give up on America as well, it's in the interests of their business.
The government is in the hands of the owner class, the rich man is the symbol of this class. The government is corrupt, that's why it is failing. That's something you can learn from the fall of Rome. People who don't learn their history are doomed to repeat it. History is not some inevitable prophecy, it's a warning.

This is how this chit works. Minimum wage only exists as a law because the first industrial workers lived like slaves. Would you prefer an unlivable wage, who taught you how to read and write?
Back in the day, the unions were working men with rifles who fought for their rights. Rights like kids going to school and not working in the factory or coal mines, rights like weekends or a minimum wage. Now unions are mostly just political tools for Democrats, that's why chit is so expensive now. Wages have stagnated and workers are no longer organized or even aware of what side they are on.
Beans. Cleans. Gasoline.
