Boss freaking out what do?

My boss got in trouble because I worked too many days in a row(were not supposed to). He is now so angry that he is trying to fire me. Before this we were on good terms and things were going well. Also I asked him if I'm OK to keep working for a few days until someone else can cover my shift and he didn't answer but is letting me work still so I don't get it.

How should I proceed? I can find a new job easy(I'm contracting) if I want but I don't want to leave just because some guy was in a cranky mood.

Lol in trouble for working too hard, watch out your employees might actually make a livable income. That's some dumb chit OP that really sucks.

They probably don't want to give you enough hours to be a full-time employee with the benefits, additional rights, and influence that comes with it. Read this OP from the Department of Labor.

He's just pissed because you did something you weren't supposed to and he got in trouble for it. Maybe don't do that again. He's not going to fire you.

Is working to many days a safety thing? Or is it the OT they don't want to pay?

This. He’s probably just pissy at himself and directing it at you. Surely he’ll get over it soon and you’ll be fine unless he’s some mega cuck

There's a lot of reasons but OT is a big one so is the legal obligation to provide a safe workspace to full-time workers. Some other things you can avoid with contractors are providing family/medical leave, taxes, retirement, and unemployment insurance.

People try and skirt around these laws even if they actually need full-time workers like OP. Like others said his manager might not be the owner, but it's on him to maintain this policy. So if he phucks up then the chit rolls downhill to OP.

It's just a safety policy. I'm a contractor though not employee and he said he wanted me off the project now but he forgot I have contract that requires me to provide services and they don't have any company they can replace me with and their prob bot allowed.

I assume it's one of these:

1) You're lying or not telling the whole story
2) Your boss is a total retard
3) all of the above

I'm serious, I don't see why he went full retard. He was filling in as manager and they just hired his temp position to someone else maybe he's mad about that idk.

His reaction is way worse than the minor infraction warrants.

My boss at my company emailed him and even asked if it's OK I keep working this week he didn't bother to respond yet I'm still working

Yeah bro you are the most essential element of the company, the one who actually does the work. That's why they want to restrict your hours. You are legally required to receive certain benefits if you work a certain amount of hours. This cuts into their profits as an expense, but the business would not function without workers.

This is what they do at Walmart and some other big companies. If you rock the boat though they might just let you go and give a bs excuse to avoid legal troubles. That's why we have unions.

It is really pathetic how men submit to abuse from companies or bad managers.

I keep enough cash reserves and have no debt so I can quit at any time and keep my self respect

Bruh if you knew basic economics then you would understand that workers and their employers are not on the same team.

You've got that chit in your sig so you don't even believe in the future of your own country, if you are an American that is.

There is no such thing as "teams" in the free market.

It's wrong that I've recognized policy made by similar minded turds to yourself are causing the decline of this country?

Nah you better learn your history. Class is a concept in basic economics, and plenty of working people have been slaughtered so that you can read and write or even take a weekend off. So many have died for the things you take for granted.

If you don't believe in America, why are you still here? Why don't you go fulfill your traitorous ambitions? You've drunk the rich man's kool-aid already, at least the rich man knows what side he's on. He's lining his pockets while we suffer for it, and you're eager to let him tell you how to think.

They're the ones milking this country dry, and they have no problem with jumping ship or pushing some narrative about China. Hell, it's good for their bottom line.

Plenty of working people have been slaughtered as a result of the free market? Interesting, tell me more.

America is not a religion. You do not "believe" in it. I have merely recognized that our pathetic government has accelerated us towards obsolescence over the decades. You meanwhile are of the belief that I must maintain utter compliance with our flawed system or I am a traitor, while simultaneously complaining about the "rich man" ruining the country; does this make you a traitor as well?

I will tell you more.

The Battle of Blair Mountain was the largest armed uprising since the Civil War, The Battle of Homestead was another. The Colorado Coalfield Wars including the Ludlow Massacre and the Columbine Mine Massacre. There's plenty more if you learn the history of labor struggles in America, and you won't learn much of this in public school.

You can believe in a person, you can believe in a country, that's pride in being an American. I'm no friend of the government either, nor am I a friend of the rich man. Compliance is not necessary, sometimes rebellion is the right thing to do. The owner class does not give a damn about our country, they're glad to hop on a jet and jump ship. They want you to give up on America as well, it's in the interests of their business.

The government is in the hands of the owner class, the rich man is the symbol of this class. The government is corrupt, that's why it is failing. That's something you can learn from the fall of Rome. People who don't learn their history are doomed to repeat it. History is not some inevitable prophecy, it's a warning.

Obamacare did a lot of damage to employees when it set a low bar for number of hours worked to be considered full time for the sake of forcing employers to pay for health insurance. Instead of employers picking up the tab, they simply cut part time hours down to almost nothing and hired more part timers to fill the gap.

Yeah the government picks up the bill for big companies like Walmart, to the tune of millions. Often through welfare programs and such. Democrats will act like they care about labor, but it's just politics as usual. They belong to the same corporations as all these other corrupt politicians.
