Eat the ticket. You were probably at fault, as the cops said. I got a ticket once when a motorcycle appeared out of nowhere and bashed into me when I was turning left over a decade ago now. To this day, I swear the fuker had to have been speeding. My passenger also swore it was "like a ghost motorcyle" that came out of nowhere. Thank the lawd, no one was actually hurt, the bike just got dropped badly and that was it.

To this day, I swear the motorcyle guy could have avoided the accident by not speeding like a bat out of hell. It doensn't matter though, because no witnesses stopped to tell the cops anything. Just glad no one got hurt. It fuked up my insurance premiums for a few years. Chit sucks. Just be glad you didn't get hurt and start reconsidering being a sitting duck on a motorized bike amongst a sea of 4k pound+ death machines on the road.

I got a lot more defensive with my driving after that. But I am still 100% certain that mortorcycle driver could have avoided that accident by not speeding.

would never ride a motorcycle, it's only a matter of time until some retard hits you, and unlike a car you have no Barriers at all to absorb impact. Have had two friends die from motorcycle accidents

If you get a lawyer you could probably beat it. That said, how much is the ticket? Is this something worth fighting? Diversion programs might be your best route here.
