On a related note.. we have had a vegas trip planned for the past 3 months. I unfortunately had to drop out. Buddies are still going though. A couple weeks back at the steak dinner we asked him what he was going to do about the puppy while he is out of town. He shrugged it off and said friends were watching her. Now I just get a long text from him saying he has exhausted all options. Friends cant and boarding facilities are full. He wants me to watch her.... just lol he has had like 3 months to figure this out and he waits till the last second and now its trying to drop her on me even though he has been ignoring me for 2 days like a bitch.
Dont give this guy an inch of help besides whats needed for the dogs health. I've had people like this in my life. Its cruel, but the best bet is to call him on his lie and do some research on kennel companies or whatever. Send him some links to places that or open and accepting dogs at any price. Dont let him think that hes fooling you with that excuse, because next week another excuse will come. Nip it in the butt asap or that may as well be your dog.

Lock him in the cage, take the dog and leave.

i dont know if you mentioned it yet, have you asked him to give it up?

if its a money thing, you could just bite the bullet and offer to buy it from him and once its yours, you can find it a new home.

Jesus fuggin christ man

I mean I feel bad for leaving my dog alone in my bedroom while I'm at work, even though he has access to go outside and other people to hang with if he decides to escape the room. I couldn't imagine the type of person who would let their dog live like this and live like this themselves.

You should document it all, and then either tell him to take responsibility for his pet, rehome the dog, or you will report him yourself.

You should also move the fuk out. THis guy can't even treat his own pet right, that he chose to take responsibility for. How is he gonna treat the rest of the world?

He accepted it and got the puppy anyways. Been an absolute nightmare. Dont know if you know about vizslas, but they are one of the most energetic dog breeds. This puppy runs around at 100 mph at all times. If you let her out of your sight for a second she will poop, pee, chew something up, etc. Cant eat in front of her. Jumps on you. Very poorly trained. I frankly dont have the patience for that right now
i hear ya man, but you guys need to have a srs talk with him at this point and find a solution.
