Nah, the punishment is fair. Now if they would have pressed criminal chargers or something then I'd agree 1000%.

There are glowies on the misc now. Don't fall for the bait.

So a cop called into DC sports radio yesterday discussing this topic and broke down what this would be if it happend outside of the arena. The bottom line was that ANY FOOD used, is something that the fan can be charged with
Replace popcorn with: pizza, hot coffee, soup, soda, hot dog, nachos, pretzel, and any other food that you can think of.
If you can't do it on the street, you can't do it in an arena.

Low IQ thread from OP. Throwing food/drink/etc at anyone in just about any establishment will get you thrown out and probably banned. Whether it's a restaurant, a mall, concert, or a sporting event. Westbrook overreacted, sure, but it doesn't really change the fact that the ban is totally justifiable.

Chit was outta pocket tho for that fan and he got off easy. Had Westbrook went malace at the palace on him, that reddit mod would have cried victim on twitter and tried to sue

Imagine defending this douchebag fan, or the fan who spit on Trae. Not a "safety issue" obviously (Although if a fan throws popcorn or spits, they'll throw something that'll hurt) but that scumbag shouldn't be allowed inside
