I’m not a fan of the modern NBA in the slightest, but that behavior is unacceptable and should result in a ban.

Players shouldn’t have to be worried about dumb **** like that when they play. If players can’t provoke fans, then fans shouldn’t be able to provoke players.

Ultimately, this comes down class, dignity, and respect, for another human, and that fan exhibited none of the above.

Dislike Westbrook but I’ve gotta agree that fan 100% deserves to be banned; trash talking is one thing, throwing **** at the players is another.

Strong thread backfire, lmao. OP you usually make some pretty lulzy posts but you're missing the mark with this one. There is absolutely no room for fans to be throwing objects at players. At the end of the day these guys are doing a job, and no one should have to worry about being pelted with stuff while working (obviously this varies depending on the job we are talking about). You really have to be sub-human trash to think it's okay to throw food at a player. It's classless, shows lack of accountability, and really says a lot about a person.

That sh*t used to be commonplace in the 90s and early 2000s. Part of the game and part of playing in a hostile environment on the road in the playoffs

It’s just different now. Players are sensitive as hell. Most are coddled AAU players who’ve never faced an ounce of adversity in their life.

He literally dumped a little popcorn while he walked out and Westbrook acted like someone pulled a knife on him. Then whines about player safety afterwards.

Low class yes. But its philly...thats expected there.

I've had worse happen to me playing high school sports.

Love the nostalgiacels that glorify ape behavior like throwing crap at players and “the Jordan rules”. Let’s actively let people throw garbage at players because it adds so much to the game. Also who cares if you club a man across the neck. That’s just real basketball bro.

Low IQ thing to do. This is the new narrative the NBA is pushing

OP if you want to a concert and started throwing food at the performers would you understand why they threw you out?

agreed with this, you can chit talk and what not but throwing chit at people physically is crossing the line even if its popcorn, it's just ******* chit.

if the NBA allows it, I say the NBA player should be allowed to "defend" themselves and give them an opportunity to lay an asswhooping on that ******* fan.

it's just low IQ subhuman chit
