I also wouldn't mind getting a Peacock Bass as well.

Do y'all have those or is it just the East Coast of Florida?

I had a decently bad bought of Covid. I'm 98% back to normal having some cardio issues but that might be more from the lockdown/layoff/injury. And my bowels are still a little funky 5 mths later.

My youngest son had a 2 month cancer scare. In NC High School football was held this spring. He got hurt and had a cat scan.
Well they saw multiple lesions on his cervical vertebrae. They said it looks bad you need a MRI. MRI didn't rule out cancer so he had to get a full body bone scan and an ultrasound.

Both of those still showed something funky so he was referred to Duke Cancer for a spinal oncologist and had to get a full body pet scan.

The whole process took 2 months and we were on the edge of our seats because all the doctors along the way said it looked bad.
But the final test seems that it's not malignancy so they are going to wait and see if anything changes.

So my time has been spent either working or taking him fishing as much as possible.

I drove 5400 miles for work in May.

I am still injured but slowly making progress.

Tuesday morning I had surgery then drove to Indy that night. Got there at midnight got up drove to Chicago built 73 beds drove to Hurricane WV by midnight and got home yesterday.

Today I am tired will try to get a light workout in, get a haircut and go to Crossfit Girl's for dinner and booty.

I just haven't had much time to be on here.
Next week I drive to Tampa.

The week after two more cities.

So that's the gist of it.

This one was huge and so strong I couldn't hold on to him. He jizzed all over my hands and arms.

The shad are called poor man's tarpon because they fight and jump like small tarpon.

You wouldn't believe how they fight.

Dam..wood love to fish those. I'm assuming every bit of a large/smallmouth bass type fight? (btw, not as large as I thought you would be)

They pound for pound fight way harder than large mouth.

These are Hickory and they run 2 to 4 pounds and up.

The Whites (we didn't catch any) hit 7 or 8lbs.

I would guess you'd need a very big 7+ bass to be close.

On a good day you can catch 30 from the bank.

They show up to spawn around March 1 and will stay sometimes as late as April 15 before they go back to the Ocean.

You get about a 4 week average chance unless you chase them from the beach in February and keep moving up river.

Come down. We'll put you on them.

I'll stick to reds and trout. I'm flying home driving down so I will only have my Okuma MHF travel rod.

I'm going to pick your brain all weekend now lol.

Damn glad you’re ok brah. VERY glad the news on your son is turning in a more positive direction. I’ll be praying for him.

I had Covid right when it came here. Over a year now and I can still barely smell and have a bit of breathing issues. Besides that I didn’t really feel sick except for sinus issues. It’s strange how it affects people differently.

Stay safe op and your son will be ok, just try to stay positive as hard as it may be.

The episode aired on Travel Channel and can be purchased on Amazon for 3 bucks.

I get no money from it.
