Update On Life
Folks have been asking in threads and my control panel for updates where I've been etc.
I had a decently bad bought of Covid. I'm 98% back to normal having some cardio issues but that might be more from the lockdown/layoff/injury. And my bowels are still a little funky 5 mths later.
My youngest son had a 2 month cancer scare. In NC High School football was held this spring. He got hurt and had a cat scan.
Well they saw multiple lesions on his cervical vertebrae. They said it looks bad you need a MRI. MRI didn't rule out cancer so he had to get a full body bone scan and an ultrasound.
Both of those still showed something funky so he was referred to Duke Cancer for a spinal oncologist and had to get a full body pet scan.
The whole process took 2 months and we were on the edge of our seats because all the doctors along the way said it looked bad.
But the final test seems that it's not malignancy so they are going to wait and see if anything changes.
So my time has been spent either working or taking him fishing as much as possible.
I drove 5400 miles for work in May.
I am still injured but slowly making progress.
Tuesday morning I had surgery then drove to Indy that night. Got there at midnight got up drove to Chicago built 73 beds drove to Hurricane WV by midnight and got home yesterday.
Today I am tired will try to get a light workout in, get a haircut and go to Crossfit Girl's for dinner and booty.
I just haven't had much time to be on here.
Next week I drive to Tampa.
The week after two more cities.
So that's the gist of it.

Medical scares suck so bad. Totally puts you off for those few/long weeks. During this time youβre hoping and praying to be okay to get back into normal life swing of things and youβre promising yourself to go hard at the gym and give life 100% afterwards when healthy. Most of us take our good health for granted.

Unfortunately it's not a completely happy ending.
The findings show a problem that could lead to fractures in the future.
The doctors told him he needs to think long and hard about playing football again.
Also his dream for a long time is to go into Special Forces (Green Berets). We aren't sure if these findings will medically disqualify him from being accepted into the pipeline. This was a big blow for him.
We will know more in 6 months.

This was during the Shad run.
The shad swim up from the Ocean hundred plus miles to spawn. NC is famous for the shad and striper spawn runs especially on this particular river about 90 minutes from my house.
We had been wanting to go down for 2 years and with what he was dealing with at the time we were going hell or high water. Speaking of high water the river was up 30 feet.
This was his first shad ever.
Lol you can this cool old man go God o Mighty that's a biggun.

If i were you I'd rent a kayak/small boat and drift around the flats in 3-8ft water with a lure of your choice and live shrimp. Thats the easiest way to catch the most fish. Plus seatrout and reds are now open. Buy your license!
If you really want to get fish I'd reccomend you nut up and jump in with some spearfishing gear. Now thats alot to ask, but if you want a crazy afternoon thats the best way to do it. PM about spearing though, the laws get tricky on where you can dive. See AVI for credentials.

I'm ~2 hours south of there so I don't have too much local stuff for you but I love the Ybor City area for some nightlife and a hand rolled cigar whenever I'm up there.

I was bringing some Diezel Minnowz, Gotcha Plugs, Doa Shrimp and maybe a couple of Clark Spoons.
I don't have tons of saltwater experience so I appreciate the tips.
