$4,070 including taxes and insurance. Pay an additional $430/month in principal to make it an even $4.5k.

Bought first house at $340k in 2014. Sold for $550k in 2019 and bought this house for $1.025.

Have ~$750k left on the loan and house is worth $1.6M or more.

Own multiple properties but the house I live in I pay the equivalent of $US1350 a month. Think I have around another 28 years to go on the mortgage, but I will finish paying it off within 10 years.

My personal condo I have separate from my hubby, it’s almost paid off (been putting extra money here and there on it with no prepayment penalty with the loan) has maybe 5 more years if even. It’s 400 plus the hoa

Our family home is about a thousand. It would be a lot more if it was purchased in the last 20 years but we took over the loan and got it through inheritance. If we bought it now or in the last 10 years it would be about 4 k a month. Lake Tahoe housing/land prices are retarded

Mortgage and property tax combined is about $2500 on house we had built last year and closed in in November. Did some work out of pocket, so easily no PMI. Mortgage is about $350k, appraises a little over $500k.

3 bed, 2 bath, oversized 3 car, 2000sf ranch with 500sf bonus room above garage which houses the home gym and bjj mat. 1.5 acres on a decent sized, nice quiet lake.

Built huge 800sf dock and boardwalk this winter. Just finished back deck. Need to finish dirt work off the RV pad so 14’ x 40’ shed can be delivered. Can’t complete 800-1000sf concrete patio until other dirt work is done. Then need to bring topsoil / sod in. Phuking never ends. Was hoping to have all done by July 4th weekend, now just hoping to have it all done by Labor Day.

Zero. I paid it off.

Yes could make a mathematical argument this is not an efficient use of capital, but the house represents a small fraction of my net worth and I can borrow as much as I want at prime anyway without using my primary residence as collateral. For me, security and simplicity have value beyond optimizing for every penny of return.

I've noticed this too, but I usually only visit Florida for a couple weeks during the winter (Canadian crew). Why is this - insects? Gators?

insects, the swampland and mosquitoes and other bugs are overwhelming during a lot of months that its just worth it to have those built in.
