I have heard that you actually have more test due to less being converted to DHT. That's why guys on dutasteride have really high T.

tf is up with all the finasteride FUD recently? my jim jams are starting to feel uncomfortable. like there's some kinda propaganda against people preventing hair loss.

one thing i would LOVE to see is the lifestyle of tthese guys that have horrible side effects from finasteride. are these guys fat ****s who do no exercise? ****ty diet? already low T?

Save you a lot of time and mental anguish to just avoid taking drugs that permanently alter your body chemistry just for vanity/insecurity. Life is much simpler this way.

There is a whole class of drugs just to deal with OJ sides, like hair loss or back acne.

You don't wanna be a guinea pig for questionable drugs just to look a certain way.

It's like a weird chemical deal with the devil.

it's true. finasteride blocks 5 alpha reductase which converts testoreone to DHT. problems though....

i think excess T gets converted to oestrogen. you probably should do some bloodwork before you hop on fin making sure you aren't a lady as that excess free test you have MIGHT(?). get converted to oestrogen.

side question. anyone know to prevent free test being 'excess'? or am i giving myself dreams. can a person use up enough test or find a way to condition their body to require higher amounts of test? either way I imagine you should be active, eating healthy and low bodyfat before hopping on find.

Gyno seems to develop more with fluctuations, like when people come off and experience a lag period with estrogen levels associated with high testosterone and low testosterone from coming off. The testosterone activates the AR on breast tissue, which antagonizes the growth effect of the ER in the breast tissue, supposedly, though I wonder if testosterone directly antagonizes the ER in breast tissue.

High free testosterone affects you similarly to cycles. You can use an AI for estrogen control if you want. High estrogen can cause problems. Most people seem to report no tangible symptoms with induced high estrogen levels from high testosterone (while the high estrogen probably affects things like the prostate without real-time symptoms).

DHT does other things. Male brains function obviously differently from female ones because of androgens. 5-AR inhibitors mess up some other steroid levels in the brain, which can affect the way you feel and long-term brain health.

Bigger problems exist. I think the effect of carelessly disrupting hormones in mostly undesirable directions for your actual health, not cosmetic results of hair, seems like a bad idea if you can avoid it.

Things went wrong immediately on fin and I stopped quickly. Grateful that everything recovered in short order after stopping and will never look at the reaper sideways again

DHT isn't just sperm count though. It's still a performance enhancer, banned in competition. Marketed as ''androstanolone''. It's pretty much the dream weight class drug because it put little muscle on you and doesn't aromatise like test.
