I am not a young earther, but LOL at believing scientists know as much as they do. Wear 3 masks while you're at it.

Humans evolving from single cell organisms, humans being created by God, humans being created by Aliens, earth being terraformed by a long gone alien civilization, living in a simulation, etc...ain't nobody know chit.

No. You’re making it seem like the evidence we have for all those things is equal. If you want to say you can never be 100% sure and the most you can be is 99.9999%, ok fine. But it’s not at all close to “maybe it was the goddess Jupiter”

Homo sapiens have only been around 2-300,000 years..

Also after about 3-4 generations your prior bloodline is almost entirely eradicated, your DNA chromosomes would not match your great great grandparent's unless inbreeding

That's now how any of this works.mp4

Since you like to refute known scientific facts I'm sure you have hypotheses of your own that you'd like to share to dispute them

The age of the world is irrelevant, however, my hypothesis is that those who are concerned about the age of our species are those who are afraid to live in the present moment. Kinda like a coping mechanism.

What's the saying,
"the past is history the future is a mystery today is a gift, and that's why they call it the Present."

Those who live in the past for whatever reason are afraid to grasp the gift of the Present. Today is a gift embrace it be thankful for it.

Actually it is how it works.....

Also smh, BlackJack with the same old questioning of basic facts. Since you also question the shape of the earth and think it's flat, any time spent explaining how we know the earth is very old is time wasted.

BRB using sticks and stones to calculate the worlds mysteries.

Lol at thinking a species evolved from pond scum can figure out the unsolved mystery of the universe by using lines in rocks and shadows cast by sticks.

Strong assumption.

Some people just like knowledge for knowledges sake. I would love to know more about human history, doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying the present.

What's the saying about those who control the past?

He who controls the past has the ability to manipulate the future.

Theres a reason the victors are the ones to write history.

May all find peace in the present.

Using lines in rocks to calculate the age of the earth is just as ridiculous as people using the bible to calculate the time of creation, but like I said people concerned about the past are probably not happy in the present. Isnt it obviously there are people in science, religion, and government who want to control the past so badly? Why?
Maybe they have something to gain?

The less you know about something the more simple it seems to you. It doesn’t surprise me at all that you think it’s just “some lines in a rock”

Idk what you are talking about when you say “lines in a rock”. I imagine you are confusing fission track dating or something with the dating methods used to determine the age of the earth and solar system, for example lead-lead dating. Please, do go on how thermal ionization mass spectrometers like the one shown in the pic in this wiki article

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isot...s_spectrometry

from isotope-ratio mass spectrometry is some kind of primitive sticks and stone method for dating (not that there is anything wrong with primitive methods as long as the science is correct, eg Eratosthenes).

Since you are not answering, the earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old. The source of this is the mountains of evidence around us, and is overwhelming. Actually observing and measuring this evidence around us gives more accurate results than stories written down in a text some 2500 years ago. The evidence for an old earth goes beyond radiometric dating btw.

I think understanding who we are and where we came from are among the most interesting questions we can ask. Thanks to scientific advances, unlike 1000 years ago, we are now able to actually investigate this question meaningfully.

Yes, such types of mass spectrometers do exist. They are not primitive sticks and stones machines either. Next.

Lmao wtf did i just read... you really think radioisotope dating is equivalent to reading something some random guy in the near east wrote down 2,000 years ago?

You can be religious boyo but you dont have to believe in all the random nonsense, we have information now, this isnt medieval times.

They have found potentially biogenic carbon preserved in 4 billion year old zircon. In your mind, are they just bull****ting about this?

You do realize rocket science is a fairly trivial discipline, right? Aerospace engineering has more complexity, but the science of how a rocket works itself is a really simple thing that can be explained by simply considering a projectile with changing mass (as most of its mass is fuel) and conservation of momentum. Every physics major learns rocket science. It's a single part of a single chapter in classical mechanics books. Rocket engineering is a bit more interesting, but only due to the details that are more broadly absorbed by aerospace engineering and fluid dynamics. Everyone who says "it's not rocket science" is a moron.
