what part of SJ? I grew up there.

Basically:
DC is expensive and crowded as ****, traffic is horrible. Did i mention expensive?

Philly is mostly trash everywhere, rudest people on the planet, no manners and most people who are philly natives are scum. The newcombers are all young from the suberbs, gentrifying all areas of the city. A lot of yuppies and hipsters. Apartments are generally pretty affordable. traffic isnt terrible but annoying as ****. The expressway is always a headache.

SJ: mostly rich people who work in philly who got the **** out. Commute into philly in their Teslas and BMWs. Large houses in developments spread out. Strip malls and endless stores and shopping. A lot of better than thous. And taxes, tons of taxes.

IMO go live somewhere else. Both suck

+1 for Annapolis or even a suburb in that area.

You are close to 50 basically anywhere and can be in DC in good time.

The DC/Virginia area is the epitome of down and going.

And no amount of overpriced housing they are throwing up everywhere is going to change it.

Have you considered Wilmington? Not a bad drive to the airport or the shore and they've really done a nice job with their downtown riverwalk.

So right now at 6:13 pm google says

1.drive time from Annapolis to DCA 50 MIN
2. drive time from Silver Spring, MD to DCA says 35 min
3. drive time from Tysons Corner, VA to DCA says 33 min.

These are just examples using a busy time of day, without students on the road, and many people still working from home.

Op you're black, Virginia is a good spot. Lots of middle class and upper class black folks. I hear nothing good about New Jersey, people trash everything about it. DC I'm not sure. Philly is also bummy


Virginia is your best bet, you just gotta have good money. The DMV area is best for black folks with money.

This guy a moron srs, I live in princeton/lawrenceville area and its very nice. I grew up in monmouth county. I can travel 7 minutes in any direction and I will run into a farmers market.

Jersey City is nice by the columbus dr area, Path train ride to nyc. Hoboken is a younger crowd, also Path train ride to nyc. Ive never noticed anything with the high indian population, not something I really would care about anyway. Im right in the middle of NYC and Phila, although I try to avoid that 2nd rate city. Both Newark and Philly airport are an hour from me.

Cheap, some decent culture, close to GOAT tristate.

DC is as expensive as anywhere with one of the most obnoxious cultures.

Truth. Although it’s actually the Maryland side of the DC suburbs that successful Black families tend to live. Prince George’s County, MD is the richest Black majority county in the country.

For some reason people seem to think Atlanta is the Mecca of Black prosperity in America, and I guess it is to a certain degree as there are some nice suburbs, but it’s also one of the chittiest crime ridden and poverty stricken cities in the nation. Where Blacks truly thrive is in the DMV area, Charlotte, Raleigh and some suburbs outside of New York City (including parts of North Jersey).

Thanks for correcting me. Definitely want to check out Maryland. The only downside is I hear it's damn near impossible to get a conceal carry license. I wonder can you at least own a gun in your home or carry in your car.
