Thanks man. If there is something I would say about my physique that people who have been around a while say, is I have 'density'. I trained most of my life for strength and I think that is really what creates that look. That and a lot of years.

This pic was last week. Dont want to be a guy who wont show legs. My legs have suffered recently. Have not really been able to squat in last 3 years but still trying. doing what I can leg press wise...etc. Suck messing up lower back, but just take each day as it comes.

The lower pics are before my accident 3 years ago when I was still able to train heavy. Not super lean in those pics, but you can see my legs have suffered probably the worst from not being able to trainin heavy last 3 years.

Dont hold it against them. My damn nephew (24) calls me ever week about 'starting' training. I told him just get his a$$ in there consistently for month and then I will talk to him. He wants it all yesterday. Doest get there are no shortcuts. (misc dont want to hear that). Drugs can not get and keep a physique for decades. Well...it can, but you would fuk yourself.

Too much worry about nattie, non-nattie. Go fukin train. Quit worrying about everyone else and go in the gym and beat the you that you were yesterday. THAT kind of stuff sticks with you for a life time. It's not some dudes instagram....or some poster. It is a fire inside you to be a better you. External sources of motivation fade. Look inside and find your motivation. If you dont see it or find it....YOU WILL FAIL. When you get to my age.....everyone 'used' to train. The haters will say what they want.....most of you younger guys will be fat out of shape old dudes talking about how fit you were when you were younger. Only thing you can do is prove me wrong. But again...dont do it for me....do it for yourself. Otherwise...just quit now and save everyone the time.

On that note....I am going to bed. Car show in the morning with my son.

In a proper MISC fashion flex, if it is raining, I take the lotus, if it is clear, it is huracan all the way!Am I doing it right?....

OP is goals.

Mirin' hard dude.

Great physique regardless of age.... taking age into account it's down right inspiring.

Lifestyle looks on-point too. Have the physique, house, cars, business, etc... and if you're taking your son to a car show on a Sat morning, you likely have a great family life too. This is what I'm working for and hope to have soon (sans the kids)

I love that OP gets criticism and hate in a thread where he's literally living the life that Misc'ers all say they want (jacked, money, super car, big house, family, etc....). Just lmao.

Drop some advice for us dude. Natty at 35 with a good build and dense muscle... probably going to visit Dr. T when I get in my mid 40's. Have a real solid income and making some strategic investments right now to hopefully secure an early retirement/start my own business or consulting gig.
Impart some wisdom upon us.

Funny you drive the featherweight RWD Lotus in the rain and not the AWD Lambo.

These were both last summer. I am about 3-4 lbs away from here bf wise. Last pic is a still nattie pic of me when I leaned out. You can see the size of my obliques. Having a developed physique of any kind can actually be a detriment in business. I work to hide my physique in business settings. Very little good comes out of it, and it is a distraction if anything.... worse it can put people one the defensive.

I have been self employed since 23. Just like my physique... Hard work, consistency and time yield results.

But abs were never my goal. I always lifted to be strong(er). I now have a midsection that looks like a block. I'm ok with that.I never lifted to be pretty.

Thanks man. Having a place where people can understand you is really nice. COVID sucks and I have not been to a gym (public) in a long time. I find myself turning back to the forums for an outlet. Sadly this place has dried up a lot, but there are still guys (and gals) out there getting it! I like to see others succeed and fight the same fight I have been doing for years. Nice to not feel totally crazy.

Advice....the truth is money and stuff does not mean sh!t. ย  I had MUCH more earlier in my life. ย Below is a pic of my ride from those days. ย Had rotor blades instead of tires.

Before I hit 30 I had all kinds of 'stuff' and I never appreciated any of it. ย I was caught in the chase. ย Not for money, but since I did not grow up with a lot, I always felt like I had to be achieving more. ย  I never once stopped to enjoy what I had. ย  I would buy a helicopter out of Vegas and fly back to the east coast along the rio grande, through the desserts of new mexico, and I never stopped to think....man this is really cool that you can do this. ย  ย Instead it was something that while I was doing, I was thinking of what I had to do next.

hat all changed for me in 2009. ย I was almost killed in a helicopter crash. ย Let with a broken neck and frontal brain injury, short term memory loss and partial amnesia, it was pretty tough. ย That on top of the economy collapsing and my businesses being effectively shut down. ย  Took me almost a year to recover physically. ย  That was the motivation that got me back in the gym. ย  That is why I have not missed since.

Anyway.in those moments, I realized I never enjoyed my life. ย I was too busy thinking about the future to just be in the present and take it in. ย  I also realized that not a single thing I ever bought brought me happiness. ย  My happiness came from the love of those around me. ย It came from my good friends who were really family to me. ย  ย I made a lot of changes after that, and pretty much swore off the chase of material wealth. ย  I spent the next 5 years semi-retired. ย  I put my kids on the bus every day and was there to get them off. ย  My wife has always been a mom, so we are a single income family. ย  ย We had enough to be happy an comfortable but we were not living high on the hog by any means. ย  ย  I found happiness like I have never had before.

It is only recently that I have allowed myself to indulge in 'toys'. I went 10+ years without buying a car or much of anything. When the economy picked back up, I started working again, but this time from home and without employees. It is just me. I design custom homes for clients and builders. I have no degrees and I am self-taught in everything I have ever done. I have been in construction in one form or another for the past 25 years. But these days, I try to keep a healthy life/work balance.

Sharing things with my kids is what brings me most fun. ย  My son and I have really gotten into the car stuff. ย  He is 14 and I think why not? ย  Pic of my son and I at the track in the huracan. He is 14 and never drove, like really drove a car. The car has a supercharger and is putting out about 860hp. I put him behind the wheel and after 3 turns he was going 120! My daughter also even comes to car meets with me. I let her drive of course!

Both my kids are very grounded. ย  I have a fantastic wife, and our kids are the furthest thing from being materialistic. ย  None of them like labels or try to flex. ย  My daughter does not like that everyone knows where our home is. ย It stands out a bit. ย  Not a crazy home, but a nice one and very distinctive so pretty much everyone in our area knows the home even if they dont know me.

I have no complaints. ย But my advice is dont base your life around stuff. ย  I could get rid of everything and I would be just as happy. ย  Look to be the best friend you can to your friends. ย Be the best husband and father you can be. ย And the biggest one, is pick a GREAT girl to marry. ย  My wife has been the reason I have been able to become the man I am. ย It does not hurt that she is hot too...but she is 1000x prettier on the inside than out.

Says guy looking at under ware pics from when I was still natural. Actually I keep my T quite a bit under the top of the scale. I find I feel best there. Most people have ZERO idea of what TRT is and is not. There is ZERO difference between 1200 and 600. (if your body functions fine on 600). This is why even though there are plenty of testboosters that do indeed work, no one get the gainz from them. Back in the day, there were guys posting bloodwork of the herbal AI's w/ 1200 and 1300 levels all day long. Except most still looked like skinny tennagers even years later. Now jacking up levels to 4-5x normal levels, sure that makes a difference. But the fact is I could do that 12 weeks and it would make almost no difference for me at this point in my development. It takes larger and larger moves from the mean to see results. I have never wanted to be dependent upon super physiological levels for mass and or strength. I am not a big dude and most people would look at my lifetime natty and now pics and not see a huge difference. Dont forget there is also 7+ years of tranining on top. The two back shots above for an example are 7 years apart.

So you can think what you want....I dont care. But understand your response is a function of your own internal inadequacies. Might want to deal with those.

Thats because it's my pics. Here is a good flex picI did however end up selling the gallardo to a guy in Oklahoma though. I bought the lotus for my son and I to have a more practical track car. My huracan is a little much for the track and it is a lot of money to risk since insurance does not cover you on a track. So like crashing is bad. This is my son getting a little too comfortable with hitting 140 on the straight coming into turn 1! I hold an instructor rating in helicopters so I am used to the feeling of people tying to kill me. I barely had my pulse raise. But this was priceless

Sharing this with my son is important, and the lotus is a formidable track car of it's own.

lol ok

I only did strength training as well

Squats Deadlift Bench Cleans Press

My whole bodybuilding career started on a Bowflex in the late 90s and I used to furiously do only chest flys and resitsted ab crunches for like 2 years straight in high school so that why it looks like my abs and chest are over developed. It was like augmented early overtraining that benefitted genetics maybe.

then later when I got serious and did powerlifting thats how my genetics happened to develop from the big lifts

I didn't really train abs or anything thats just from heavy heavy squatting.

Dont underestimate my agility either...

Pic of me at 21 vs 47

Looks even better at 47 than 21. Not only is this top tier looks for GenX, but including compared to Milllennial and Zoomer also. Skin is still smooth, no premature aging. Excellent, healthy mentality/mindset, view on life, bounceback from the crash and what matters most also.

Keep up the good work, kick azz role model for the younger miscers!

I had made a thread with the 'flex' pic that kinda went off the rails in typ misc style. But I made a fairly concise answer for anyone who want to take the time to read it.

The picture was just in fun and NOT meant to be taken seriously. It's cool, but nothing I would tell someone to set as a goal....

But here is my sincere response if you are interested
