None of the failure chit you're talking about applies to me. I make a great living in aviation, Master's degree, in shape, reasonably good looking guy, not an anti-social weirdo. I think it's the combo of coming out of a marriage-esque relationship, moving for a promotion that has me thinking of this.

of course

how do u think people develop habits which essentially is all u are? You either choose them yourself, or u let your environment (TV/Media) do it for u, out of your control.

funny how people laugh at changing ourselves intentionally... its the only way in becoming what you truly want to be, just go and do it

Every time I hear someone mention "reinventing themselves" or "self-improving", it is A-L-W-A-Y-S tied to a lack of pucci. Starting to think it is the ultimate jestermaxx.

Yep. The last 3 were spent trying to help my ex overcome a brutal eating disorder. She made major progress after we split.

Life ain't no joke.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

yeah never stay with a person as a "charity" (using this lightly) service. only that person can help themselves and in a relationship its like if a drowning person latched on to you. you will drown too.

And now he's lacking pucci. And it's tripping him out.

Guarantee that OP wasn't thinking about tearing up the floorboards and becoming a whole new man 6 months ago when he was getting his balls drained. That sudden urge to change who you are is really just a sudden urge to jester and appease new pucci.

I’ve been down this road. Don’t look for dramatic changes, or maybe changes at all? Why do you need to change? A failed relationship? Bro if you needed a dramatic change the relationship wouldn’t have lasted 6 years. Take some time for yourself, learn to live again but use these feelings you’re feeling right now as motivation to better yourself as a person, in the gym, with your family etc. it’s not easy, it’s not quick but it will be extremely fulfilling if you do it correctly. Dont withdraw from society and don’t cope with substances, just take each day as it comes, kick some ass and you’ll be on top of the world before you know it.

I completely agree. Had you asked me before that situation ever arose, I'd of said I would have bounced asap.

When you're in it, you find out who you really are.

Hope can be cruel. I know you aren't being callous calling it charity.
