People are getting paid 3k a month to LDAR and not have to pay rent. So they have a surplus of income to buy up products while not contributing anything to society. Naturally, their should not be an imbalance since people should be receiving an income while also helping produce supplies.

If the Fed actually attempts to taper/raise the rate it might implode a bunch of over leveraged companies. It would also make the burden of debt higher on the government and consumers [variable rate debt].
If they just let the inflation keep running and wages don't keep up then people have to herd all their income into the barest necessities/cut all discretionary spending and likely default on a lot of debt.
The least risky investments would seem to be in things that people must have vs. want to have. You may want electronics, toys, a newer vehicle, etc., but you don't have to have those things. A lot of stuff you can make do with second hand items or super cheap/low quality goods.
I don't think people will give up internet service of some type at this point. I think if you could hunt for good value among cell phone providers [not just in the US] that might hold up okay. Foodstuffs are up there too, but I think a lot of people gave up name brand groceries during the 07-08 recession.
You might not make money, but you could at least lose less:
- Dollar Tree
- Aldi
- Cricket
- Planet Fitness [for the showers
]- RV/camper businesses
- companies that sell seeds/garden supplies
- "sin" stocks maybe [tobacco, beer/liquor]
If I were going to take a chance on a regular grocery chain I would check out Meijer and HEB. They both have extensive lines of store brand product and well established suppliers for produce. I read somewhere that they use the same factory [factories?] for their store brand product.
If you can find them it seems possible that private label/store brand food manufacturers might be less inflated than some other stocks just because consumers aren't as aware of them so they may not get as much action from retail investors.

Inflation works out pretty well for people that are leveraged in good assets
To paraphrase Matthew McConaughey:
“That’s what I like about mortgages
Rents keep going up
But repayments stay the same …. Age.”
No that’s not right but you know what I mean.
