Zoomers nowadays would rather drive a model 3 over a performance/luxury sports car because that’s what all the Tik tok influencers drive.

You sound pretty enraged lol. Thanks for the information, I don't keep up with politics since I swear it's just a matter of who yells louder.

I agree with the shifts in the other topics u mentioned. Can u elaborate on this whole politcal stuff? I'm pretty close minded when it comes to politics. (I just don't care lol)

It's the perception of young me. Ask some guy in his 30's, "oh yeah, I want a nice family car that ensures my safety". Pretty boring talking point.

Wasn't entirely about ricers, read again, just couldn't write 10,000 lines on everyone's favourite cars. I love all cars pre 2010.

Yeah, nicely showboating it from your garage or impound lot. Where are u driving 80+ mph?

It's expected to have more powerful cars decades later. Aside from the visuals argument, 1 comment I made is about the eco stuff, ur cars aren't even hitting their full potential.

Yeah haha, it just wasn't practical. Fuel costs were nicer back then aswell (whole other story), but overall, those cars being badass were a pretty good tradeoff.

What car are u in now? Sadly I'd assume some baseline hatchback/family car.
I own a van and Prius now..family cars. Thinking about getting a Tesla S or truck though soon. All the speed and handling of a top end sports car, none of the stupid hidden costs.

Also respect and measly raps for the old school car love. Those designs were straight up art and I miss the old school scene (although i'm all for safety on the streets).

Car manufacturers study what sells cars, and if someone doesn't buy their car they figure out what turned them off about this vehicle. Then they have the EPA, and NTSB to satisfy, then manufacturing process, and finally they have to do this and keep a price point, and make a profit. Often people will even say they want a car that does this and that but when it comes down to it they actually go for things they didn't think much about. Of course everyone is different, so they have many different models, but for the most part they need to appeal to the vast majority of consumers. Sorry, but enthusiast buyers are far and in between. Most of those buy used cars. Then there are younger drivers, who usually buy used as well. So, they are catering to the 30+ year old crowd.

Fast & the furious brought a lot of attention to ricing.

It was cool for teens to mod their cars and zoom around. It was a status thing in high school.

Then you grew up and friends died from going too fast, and there was no point in going fast unless you were going to the track. After freshmen year of college having some fast old chitbox is cringey, you got more status having a newer, clean car.

Actually, modern Vin Diesel isn't like that now?

Hahaha!! See, that sounds like actual fun, not some commercialised garbage for social media.

Yeah definitely, it's pretty sad aswell. I remember talking to a typical infinite wisdom greasy garage guy about engines, I was confused so I googled it, the guy was giving reference to an old motorola model (a cellphone).

Car-cels are some of the lowest confirmed IQs on the planet.

All it needs to do is reliably get you from point a to point b
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

sub 8 dudes could dress well, groom, and drive a nice car and have a chance to get a gf. Now if you drive a nice car, your deemed as a show off or compensating for lack of self confidence.
