Disagree. Most people just aren’t willing to put in the work needed so they hop on cell tech and still look like sh!t. Get the diet and program together first.

Theres like 3 levels of working out:

1. cardio or running or light stuff that makes little to no impact on transforming.

2. medium level isolation stuff that works the individual muscles themselves on a shallow surface level but keeps your general body proportions and ratios similar and just sprouts muscles on top of that same frame

3. actual total body heavy squats deadlifts and presses with progressive overload that FUNDAMENTALLY transforms you bones, placement, and separation of all muscles ligaments and bones. your rib cage literal rips into a different position. your bones shift, and your size ratio and proportions dynamically transform. your posture and even height changes and the whole body is rebuilt from the core in a totally different paradigm.

so this genetics cope is mostly only true for people who stop at number 2. they never went to number 3 which is where the results they are looking for are. until you got level 3 you have no way of knowing what your genetic potential is. until you did 3 for multiple years and failed at looking good you have no room to speak.

its the most common trap in bodybuilding to stop at 2 because a lot of mainstream cucks and redittors push people to do less and work less and be weaker acting like that will suffice but young men are actually looking for the results of 3 and are being tricked into doing just 2 (usually by people who did 3 and use 2 to maintain or add on to their base of 3)

It's true. Spending time incarcerated for over 5.5 years I got to see the closest thing to a "fitness camp" that exists in today's world. Countless hours to workout, sleep, recover. The only thing lacking is nutrition, but even then you can still get one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight if you are determined and have money.

There were guys that were in that weight pit 2x a day for YEARS and still looked skinny fat. Then there were the genetically gifted guys who worked out 1-3x a week and ate ramen noodles and chips along with the slop they serve you for chow and they still mogged 99 percent of the physiques on this forum.

There's so many things to factor in...metabolism, muscle shape, muscle insertions, hormonal levels, response to stress hormones(cortisol), recovery time needed.
540 pound deadlift

100 pound DB shoulder pressesx10\
225x28 barbell bench
405x10 deadlift

I accepted this a while back. I busted my ass but could only get so far. I started off fat and out of shape at 200lbs, 5'10. A decade later, this is my best shape. This was a few months back and I'm not doing another short cut to see how far I can push it. I never learn my lesson lmao. The hunger is too strong.

theres a lot more levels than 3
when I go in the gym I can tell you how every single person is lifting incorrectly and can pretty much guarantee no one will be lifting as good or as heavy as me, im not being arrogant I just have spent more time learning exactly how the body works in the weight room. I train sometimes with high elite pro powerlifters and they dont lift as much as me with bodybuilding lifts so trust me im usually lifting the most and the best form.

That took going through a few additional levels of fitness to get to.
Thats one reason I dont give too much advice anymore, so many people are just at different levels especially in the competitive world, that its just part of the journey they are on and they will either get better eventually or not but theres too many factors for any input i give without them asking for it to mean much

I never, let me repeat never incorporated any compound movements into my workout routines, no squats, no press bench, no deads.

You do NOT repeat to perform the big 3 to get big and shredded.

Biggest fuking broscience myth right up there with taking your protein shake 30 mins after your workout.

Genetics is incredibly important in any physical activity, sports or bbing, sucks, but it's the truth.

Well we are generally by default weak but our muscle fibers are literally devolved from monkeys so while we cant get 20 times stronger (like a chimp) than an average weak human, we can get about 10x stronger (which is like a remnant of mamal evolution) so our ancestors and genetic origin creatures exerted a lot of force climbing and moving and evolution built our muscles up in life as a product of that exertion. So the muscles can be stimulated to be exponentially stronger. Even stronger than our bones and ligaments can hold on to.

I guess most people haven't been studying the human body that long like the OG misters but you can actually rip all your muscles off their bones if there wasnt built in limitations (that sometimes get released with adrenaline dumps and you feel your full power.

so I definitely wouldn't say the words you said, we are oppositely actually capable of EXTREME exponential development. Not as much as monkeys, but at least half as much.

Dont cuck yourself into thinking just because youre human, you cant be a beast if you train with heavy compounds.

But did you get the point I was trying to make? It was an overall summary and grouping to try to paint the difference between crappy split type sprout muscles workouts and actual body transformation workouts which are a world a part.

It wasnt supposed to be a detailed index of every type of lifter out there, it was supposed to explain the different tiers of "seriousness" in the sport and art of lifting and sculpting the body.

Get a bigger chisel in other words...

Not sure if you got the point I was trying to make....

Well thats why your body looks like a weird tube with no shapes or development. You don't have a sexy physique, its actually quite goofy.

So its a great example of how you would have looked way better if you did compounds and actually had an adonis belt and v taper and stuff like that instead you look like a Pez dispenser since you never did compounds and stuff.

look like a cob of corn. with some corn muscles sprouted on your little tube body since you never squat or deadlift heavy.

I have had this argument with lots of people, not smart people because they agree with you.

You don't NEED compound lifts. But most beginners will lack the skill to do hamstrings correctly, quads correctly, adductors correctly, glutes correctly, so its more effective to teach them to do squats correctly until a certain point. Its easier to teach someone to do barbell rows correctly than to teach them to work the lats, the traps, the infra and superspinatus, the rhomboids, the rear deltoids, the teres minor and major, then seperate lower trap and upper trap size, lower vs upper lat.

Until someone is experience and smart enough its usually better to have them do compounds.

Now, if someone is smart, lifts hard, and knows lifting well or has a good coach, they can do all the separate muscles in isolation and grow the best.

I have also proven this point with powerlifters. I have done nothing but isolation training and improved my deadlift bench and squat max's. All of which are in the elite level range so its no small feat to be increasing those numbers.

It seems like youre just saying compounds are just for the purpose of training or beginners but its not really just for that reason, its also just plain totally different and superior results.

The body will change differently and transform in totally different places. Your body actually kinda repositions bones and flesh and readjust and reconfigures your shapes and placements and ratios as its working to withstand the titanic amount of weight placing load all over your spine from head to toe. That type of stimulus completely warps a man if the weight is heavy enough.

And thats how you look sexy. Its that extreme result that makes you look good, not the muscles themselves but their placement in the whole physique and their spacing to each other and the separations and ratios that look "beyond normal".

Worry about how your silhouette looks not just zooming in on a muscle group. Does your shadow look like a beast? If not, keep going heavier

compound lifts offer 1 advantage over isolation lifts for growth and its very questionable at best and comes with more risks than rewards for advanced lifters.

The one advantage to compound lifts is being able to overload your area being worked with more weight than you coud with isolation.

BUT that is extremely lift dependent an arguable.

I did smith squats today and put a ramp under my feet and use as much knee flexion and as little hip hinging as possible to really put the load on my quads. I did this with 3.5 plates for 12 reps, and the only thing that got fatigued was my quads. So all of that stimulation was on my quads. If I had done a regular squat, who the **** knows where it would have been. If I would have done 425 for 10 but just done normal stance squats, let my glutes sink and not worried about hip hingin, do you think 375lbs of resistence would have been on my quads? can you accurately say that? and say that glutes wouldnt have accounted fro 110lbs of the weight, adductors, 50lbs, and quads the other 260lbs.

This is EXACTLY why most powerlifters never grow big legs. They overly rely on compound movements and look like dogchit unless they train lots of isolation lifts as well and understand bodybuilding principles and have freak genetics.

Muscle hypertrophy is attained by creating a demand on the muscle for it to grow. That is done by progressive overload of mechanical tension. Mechanical tension is the amount of resistence a muscle feels while going through a lengthening and a shortening movement. Creating the most tension there creates growth stimulus. So finding a way to place the highest amount of tension on the TARGET MUSCLE is how you grow, NOT the target muscle GROUP. Theres too many muscles that "spot" a lift for you when it gets hard.

Surprisingly this is also how you build the prettiest muscles. Challenging a muscle on the lengthened, shortened and mid range position will create the best looking, most dense muscle tissue. If all you do is compound lifts I GUARANTEE secondary muscles are jumping in on those lengthened and shortened positions to take some tension off the primary mover. Thats not how you build big pretty muscles.

Thats not how you build big pretty muscles.
ok... you don't know what youre talking about lol...

compounds are exponential.

everything else is basically linear in comparison.

Our boy zheng could look like a ripped Asian warlord if he did a hard 1000 cal keto deficit for 8 weeks. Why doesn't he? Why doesn't everyone? They lack discipline.

Next is most people are completely lost in the gym. They can't put their heads around a lifting routine. There is no excuse nowadays to not have good form and a good routine. There are thousands of videos online and even apps that can show a total novice how to have a good lifting routine. It's somewhat genetic but everyone can look better always. There is no ceiling unless you're missing all of your limbs. People are just undisciplined degenerates that would rather taste a fookin disgusting 3k cal piece of dough covered in cheese and drink poison than look and feel good.
there are guys without limbs who mog lord zheng
