I had never tried it until about 4 years ago, when an Indian flatmate brought me some fried dumplings.
I don't remember the name, but they had vegetables inside and a WONDERFUL spice.
I always tell myself that I will look for an Indian restaurant to try more dishes, but I always forget.
Summing up: I think you need to try Indian cuisine

So for entry level indian food recommendations you can never go wrong with chicken tika masala over rice, add garlic naan and its game over. Easily the most popular dish to the western palette, you will instantly love it. You can try samosas as an appetizer, its good, its Indias version of the empanada.

There's an Indian restaurant on my block and i have for the past 10+ years have said i'm going to eat there one day.. it's actually switched owners and name twice in that time.

Usually its vegetarian, its good, but youre not missing much. Def try the tika masala with basmati rice and garlic naan on your first visit though. It tastes just as good as it looks.

get your ass over to india chaat house and get some garlic chicken or some tikka masala. our place in Irving is also good but I haven't been back in a while so idk if covid fukked em up.

Ask your friends for reccs, don't go off reviews because people usually give indian places chit reviews for service which you pretty much expect to be terrible anyway. No one goes to indian restaurants to be waited on by hbbs or surrounded by nice decor, you go for the food.
