my father flor de las antillas



It was the best I've ever had. I was smoking it with my coffee and holy fukk was it heaven. The coffee went so well with that smoke.

Just started getting serious into Cigars in the past would just smoke them at parties/family gatherings.

After I finish my current sampler pack I wanna try this one:


The long cigars are great when you have tons of time but often I wanna just smoke one quick while doing work outside/take a drive and I often end up tossing some away because I run out of time.









Have you guys tried any of the above?

Stubby little stick, very sweet. One of the nicer tasting smokes I've had. I definitely recommend it and I plan on buying a box.

I have inhaled a few to see what happens and I felt like I was going to die.

However, just keeping the smoke in your mouth is enough to get the nicotine into your system.

You are smoking a rolled up leaf lol!

The blue smoke from some is scary too.

I can only tolerate tiny ones and I haven't had one in a long time.

When you burn something you get chemical changes.

With plants, you have carbon, tar from burnt sap, and stuff like that. It's not a "food" flavor but a chemical one.

Tar used for roads is semi plant based and I don't like the smell, stuff like that.

Brands I like are Macanudo, Foundation Cigars, Monte Cristo. Foundation is a newer brand and rapidly expanding and gaining popularity. Their IG has a lot of interesting discussions on cigars, cigar making, growing, and they regularly visit plantations etc.

I use a Xicar cutter, but whatever does the job for the size of cigar you want to smoke and the style of cutter you like. Triple torch refillable lighter, again all in your personal preference.

I would pay a visit to your local cigar lounge and talk to the shop owners, try something there and see if they can recommend anything.

Some of this stuff seems pretentious to me, but I am not sure.

If you hand roll a leaf vs have a machine roll the same leaf, what could it matter?

Is it not a rolled leaf?
It may not sound like it makes a difference, but look at what “cigars” are machine-rolled: Phillies, Dutchmasters, Black and Milds, etc. Hand-rolled cigars contain pure tobacco and are what you would consider “real cigars.”

I smoke 1-2 a week and keep 150-200 on hand at any given time.

I smoke almost exclusively Montecristo, Rocky Patel, Romeo y Juileta, Alec Bradley, Gurkha, Drew Estate, and Cohiba. In the ~12 years I've been smoking these brands have just provided me the best balance of what I like. With my favorites being Cohiba Red Dots, Rocky Patel Vintage 1990s, RyJ Media Noche, and Gurkha Blacks. I'm also a pretty big fan of the collab between RP and DE called the Java.

ACIDs (Drew Estate) and Cohiba Red Dots are some of the best cigars to breaking in new smokers (great balance, strength, and taste).

I pick up a sampler every few months just to try a few new cigars and most just don't make the cut.

Been smoking since 1995 or so.

Used to burn like 3 a day. good stuff too like Tats and Padron Anniversarios.

My go to right now is Jaime Garcia's (see avi)

Best place to buy for me is usually cigarplace.biz

Egars used to be good but I knew the owner and he got me solid pricing. Thompson is good if you can find the 5 Pack Fever deal. Pretty good smokes for cheap usually.
