yea, if you have a knife / weapon and are ignoring the cops commands, you get what's coming to you, but jesus christ that was a bit over the top.
There's a million different (and funny ways) that situation could have been dealt with.
What if the responding officer jumped out of his car, ran full speed and delivered a hip check to the side of that rascal. homeboy would have been sent flying, cuff him and stuff him, then lulz could be had by all
Also fully support the shopping cart / thunderdome idea
that cop is going away

Yeah nothing to say on this one. Officer that probably shouldn't be on the force doing POS things is all I see here. Not surprised he was fired immediately, I imagine charges will come next given the context of the video.

Idc who it is, if you have a weapon and are saying you’re going to hurt an innocent person you should eat bullets. Anyone here would’ve preferred this over him going in there and catching one of your loved ones not paying attention and getting a knife to the gut had no cops intervened.

1. The guy is not black, so no pressure from lobby groups.
2. He had made a threat with a weapon, then was heading into another store where he might have used it in an attack, refused to drop his weapon or comply in any way & even said he would only drop it if the cops shot him.
3. He was a career criminal-burglar, armed robber & only got out of jail in 2018 after serving an 11 year stretch for attempted first degree murder.

Probably could have been handled differently but whatever. I stopped feeling bad when raging pieces of **** get what’s coming to them a long time ago. That guy did time in prison for attempted murder. A few things can be learned here though
If you don’t want to get shot by the police:
1. Don’t shoplift and then pull out a knife when someone tries to stop you
2. Don’t threaten to use said knife
3. Don’t tell the police (when they ask you to drop the knife) that “you’re gonna have to shoot me to get me to drop it”
And finally 4. Ride away from the police as they’re telling you to stop, toward another occupied building while still holding the weapon, where there are other innocent people present that are going to complicate the situation or prevent the police from neutralizing a situation.
Old “tumbleweed” we’ll call him, the way he rolled out of the chair at the end, got what he deserved and the world is a better place without him in it. The optics are bad though. Cop is gonna have a rough ride.

Another thing, the cops unloaded straight into the open door of a Lowes with zero chance of a safe backstop if a pass through. (cops seldom hit their target a lot of the time anyway)...You can even see in the second camera angle a woman standing more or less behind the guy who was shot. Wouldnt even take much of a deflection for a collateral damage. If you line it up, he's almost shooting right at her...tunnel vision/10
I get that you cant always be perfect, but as those doors opened as I watched the video my first thought was to move to the side to prevent shooting into the store as much as possible, if using a firearm was warranted. It clearly was not. Not even close.

Also like everyone already mentioned yes the guy who got shot was human garbage.
But I’m also very very happy this unstable gentleman is no longer on the police force because he obviously has horrible decision making skills and has an itchy finger.
So I’m thoroughly enjoying the jokes for the most part.
