I had 2 buddies in college who's dad's had businesses they wanted them to get into.

One guy wanted to do his own thing, the other guy took the easy route into the family business.

The guy who wanted to do his own thing moved to Texas with his bitchy wife and has a mundane middle management job.

The guy who went into the family business married his high school sweetheart, and are ballin out, big house 4 kids, country club life...

Any plumbers in the misc?
I don't know how this guy is your dad where you know so little about plumbing that you have to ask the misc. Go help your dad for a few days. Wtf kind of son are you? you never helped the guy out when you were younger?

It pays well but there can be a lot of bull**** involved in it.

Wait until some guy asks you to move a toilet over in a basement. Have to cut/break up the concrete and dig the trench out then move the pipe over in mud that probably smells like poop from a leak at some point.

Definitely don't go into anything requiring math since you think $150/hour for 3-4 hours is $300.

I was at the plant job last month but they laid me off.

Idk, i tried a couple places, but didn't make it. I had the plant job, and with others the pre-employment schooling paid off, but yea i guess that's on hold
Terry, nobody’s buying this when you’re smoking blunts and hitting the heavy bag bro. I’ve had the same surgery myself and have always had bad sinus issues too. Just be honest, you prob hated it or sucked at it and quit. No shame in realizing something isn’t for you but time to grow up and adult bud.

Plumbing pays, especially if self employed.

I think you guys hating on his math are misunderstanding. A job that only takes 1 hour will cost more per hour because there is probably a "trip charge" or minimum just for showing up. So that's why he's saying a job that would take 1 hour might be $150 but if it takes 3-4 hours it would end up being less per hour overall because the actual labor charge is probably more like $60-80 per hour plus the trip charge.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
