There are bigger games
There are better graphics

But P5R is the most polished, stylish and completely cohesive game I've ever played.

Chit, the first The Evil Within is better than it.

Bloodborne

An actual masterpiece. The perfect example of gaming as art. It’s DLC is also the perfect example of what DLC should be.

Redemption I has superior aspects to it - it was definitely a funner game. The soundtrack was 1,000,000x better than RDR II, as well. It had much funner gunplay.

Both of those games are masterpieces, for sure.
The story is mediocre imo but everything else is superb

GF and kid are heading to visit her family for a week. I downloaded the Witcher 3 for what is probably the 4th time. I have yet to make it past that ghost/witch by the well before losing interest but people I trust swear it’s great and usually I love those types of games.
I personally prefer it to RDR2, GTA 5 etc.

Although i will say, it came with my xbox and i played it for 8 hours got bored and parked it for 2 years. When i revisited it and took the time to get into it, i realized it's a master piece, so if you're like me you may just need to sit down and grind out the first 10 or so hours before you realize what a game it is.

RDR2 was technically brilliant but it just didn't grip me like TW3, the fact people are commenting on how good the story is goes to show how different opinions can be i guess, the story was not engaging for me at all and i felt the narrative was poorly written, which was what prevented me from enjoying an otherwise technically brilliant game as much as i could.

If it was the most well made game ever my answer would change (possibly halo ce or aoe2), but over the last 15 years it's probably still TW3 for me.

Other mentions for me would be Halo 3, Halo Reach, Doom eternal, RDR2 (didn't enjoy it myself that much but can clearly see it's objectively up there), Mass effect 2, batman arkham city (underrated game IMO), RDR 1 (i enjoyed it more than RDR 2 so...)

HL2 is excellent, but it's more than 15 years ago bruh. If we stretch it to 20-25 years my list would probably look completely different.

I would forward Mass Effect (2007) as the most well made game of the past 15 years. Skyrim is amazing, but too many glitches for it to fulfil this specific criteria. Mass Effect was and is pretty much the perfect sci-fi RPG. The music, mission variety, cut-scenes, side missions, team-mates. Bioware did themselves proud with this game.
It’s mainly Fortnite call of duty players that don’t like it, saw some people saying it sucks and they skipped all the talking in the game. Mind blown skipping all the dialog in an rpg

- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)

Have RDR2 sitting on my table to play after I'm done with Bloodborne (first play through).

Since I haven't played/finished either one, my vote goes to Skyrim.

Amen.

Witcher 3 was buggy on release but - especially with the DLCs - it's one of the very best cRPGs ever made and for me is up there with Planescape: Torment. Blood and Wine alone blows most of the competition out of the water and it's only a DLC.

“Well-made”?

Rdr2
Tlou1-2/uncharted2 or 4
Mario galaxy1-2/odyssey

Rdr2 was boring despite being well made. Tlou2 had its obvious flaws.

Tossup between uncharted2 and the marios

God of war 3 (ps3)

the best god of war ever made, very polished game, one of the few games that utilized the power the PS3 had with its complex hardware. the most brutal and fun gameplay i've ever had in a game.

Not even close. I have horrible internet and typically can’t play multiplayer. If I only wanted a great story, I’d read a book. Controls shouldn’t be clunky. Combat isn’t remotely fun.

I didn't like it because it seems like half of the time you're just watching cutscenes. Also the combat mechanics didn't seem to work that well. Might've not given it enough time but at first glance I just couldn't get into it.

My pick would be Divinity: Original Sin 2. So I do like RPGs. The combat mechanics in that game are amazing and the storyline and freedom they give you is amazing.

Imagine having such low standards for games. I've seen Annoying Orange YouTube videos with better dialogue and played virus filled mobile games with better combat. Enjoy your horse riding simulator tho lmao

Its a JRPG. If you like games like final fantasy you'll love it. Remember the base game is 100 hours and Royal is like 120, it takes a little bit to get going and you're probably going to still be playing 6 months from now so just relax into it and enjoy.

EDIT - my first persona game too, you'll be just fine.

P5R adds TONS of new content including an 8th major dungeon and new ending (while keeping the original final boss). Literally no reason to buy P5, Royal is superior in every way.

If you have a PS5 I think it's free too? If it's P5 that's free I'd rather pay for Royal, it's that much bigger/better.
