I used to have a Veridesk. It was nice for a while but the base took up to much room on my desk top. It just became a pain in the ass. When I want to stand I use my kitchen island bar top and grab a cup of coffee while I'm there.

My office now. The cleanest it's been in a while normally I'm drowning in paperwork and blue prints

This is my setup at home

My work desk can change many times per year but generally it’s a standard af leather chair with a rectangular laminate desk and two monitors sitting on sleeves of 8-1/2”x11” for them ergonomics

I’ve had a standing desk but didn’t feel compelled to use it tbh

I want one, but I’d rather convert my current desk somehow. I know they sell just the legs, but it’s like $300.

All I really need is a motor, controller, and mounts to my current legs. Can an engineering brah help me out?

I respond to emails and do my consults on the phone standing. If I am doing discovery, I’m on the ground surrounded by documents in piles. If I have to draft a document or do a lot of typing, I sit. But I dictate a lot (recorded) and my secretary types it up. That I prefer to do standing.
