Also: Here is why ray tracing is so important, and why it should be the standard going forward. Yes, it's very performance heavy. But this give more towards "realism" than anything else they could do.

Honestly I feel like it's more toward Techland not knowing how to optimize the game for consoles.


1080P performance mode is extremely disappointing when you have multiple studios with games hitting 1440p at 60 fps while also in certain cases adding some rtx at decent res settings. 1080p in this day and age with the power of both consoles is very very bad.

Disappointed with reviews will not be getting it day 1 like i had planned.

-Dog **** story
-Bugs
-Choices barely make a difference
-Factions useless
-Boring characters

The game straight up overpromised and underdelivered. The first one actually had a fun and intersting story and fun characters too this one seems to have missed on all that.


Dumb af should have just delayed the game considering all the good games coming out in February. Also why do so many games have such hard time at coming up with a good interesting story , honestly if i was making a game solo making a fun interesting story would be the easiest part of the process 100%.

Gunna play on pc but waiting til weekend. Gf went to visit her mom in Florida so I'm waiting to Co op.

Not sure I believe the negativity. The first game had a pretty poor story and characters, so they don't need much to improve there. As long as the gameplay is fun and full of weapons for me to craft I think I'll have alot of fun. Also the bow.... I need the bow. Favorite weapon by far.


Kind of disappoint no cross play tho.


If the game is even remotely as good as the first, I will get a copy on Xbox too just to see how it plays.

I just unlocked the open world, maybe 2 hours in.

Pretty meh so far. Hopefully this weekend I get back some of the old nostalgia from the first one

A big yes. Believe it’s on sale right now in the Microsoft store also. I don’t think the story links together (not sure, won’t get to play it till tonight) but the first one was great. Story was weak but the gameplay made up for it imo.

This is exactly why I smh at people that praise devs who constantly delay games. "Take your time guys to perfect your masterpiece" and chit like that. No matter how long you delay a game, especially open world, there will always be a ton of bugs.

Reviews seem all over the place. One reads that the gameplay is barely a step up from the original, next reads that the beauty of the game is in the gameplay. No one can agree on whether the story is any good. Seeing scores from a 6/10 all the way up to near perfect 9.5/10s.

I don't get it. I'd still rather them delay a game and release it in a better state, especially if the game is in a poor state.

There is no "perfect" game, where if they delayed it a few more months their wouldn't be more things to improve.

You can still release it's when it's ready, and in a fairly healthy state.

Feel the same on ps5.

So far pretty disappointed. I’m about 5 hours in now. Tracking skill XP is way more convoluted now. Seems much harder to grind XP for some reason.

Don’t like the combat graphics at all. Steep downgrade over the first game imo. I remember when I first got the original I spent more time just bashing zombies apart than anything. Now I’d rather avoid fighting them because it’s just not fun. Kicking them around doesn’t result in the “rag doll” effect the original had. They just kind of stand there.

Also, I remember the first time venturing out at night it was terrifying. Inside the city it’s barely any different than day time.

And I hadn’t really noticed I guess but there’s no blueprints for weapons in this game. Read a Reddit review where a dude claims to have put in about 50 hours so far and none of the weapons feel unique. Which is pretty much what I’ve noticed. I just thought I wasn’t far enough along
