I love sci fi and space movies and I know it's a classic, but I thought it was boring as hell. I watched it with my family and we all thought it was the most boring movie we had watched. I've come to the conclusion that movies made before 1980 are just too boring for me to watch.

I also thought Crash was trash, then won the Oscar for best picture. But is now considered the worst best picture of all time.

Babel was also trash

Garden State was terrible.

Pretty much every marvel movie, especially the ones I was tricked into seeing because it was "different" like Deadpool

Sound of Music

Nothing happens for 3 hours, and the "songwriting" is completely inept. I think they could have made better music if they gave the actors blank pages and told them to make everything up with no preparation.

This was movie 7 or 8 in the span of 3 years to use that ridiculous "he wanted to get caught" scheme. The whole movie was a mess.

I would like to think I have a decent sense of humor but Pineapple express to me was putrid at best, and at the time people were hyping it up to be the funniest thing around. Saw it once and I didn't need to see it again

True. I had convinced my family to watch Space Odyssey because I thought it would be good, but I ended up sleeping 20 minutes into the movie lol.
Yeah I think Alien is the earliest sci fi movie I can stand to watch.

Shocking that No Country for Old Men is getting mentioned itt. God damn Oscar-mogging masterpiece.

Don't get the hate with Interstellar as well. Not sure if there is another current director that could pull off a movie of that scope.

My choice would be Avatar. Really don't get the hype with that one.
