What would you do if a dog runs towards you and your dog?

This actually happened to me a while back, but it was a really cool looking French bulldog. A tiny old Asian lady brought him in the gym as a "work dog". I saw them and was like 'nice' (I like French bulldogs, watch lots of Youtube vids on them) and went into an advance tuck planche hold. This looks weird and it scared the dog. Dog refused to come closer towards me (I was in their path) and the lady was trying to drag him. I smiled and then the dog went from being dragged to dragging the lady towards me. When he got near, I just put down my hand and he sniffed it. Petted after asking permission and they went on their way. It was really surreal, I still lol about it

i have a husky and have had a few dogs run up to my dog because their owners were idiots and didnt have them on a leash. i always picked her up and lifted her high away from the dog and for the most part, the owners ran up in time to get them away. one time the owner was just yelling at their dog to come back (like it was going to listen). it kept jumping up trying to nip her so i fireman carried my dog and soccer kicked it a few times. still didnt work and i had my keys in hand ready to gauge its eyes out but the owner finally came and got it. she was yelling at me for kicking her dog (low IQ bitch). i was cursing up a storm and yelling at her until her husband came and apologized.

I sometimes walk at a stadium that is at the edge of a city, and there are wild dogs in packs there. I hear them following us around the bushes and ****, but man im not scared of a fight, would help me to tire out my dog so she sleeps easier and lets me off the hook

Had it been me, my fingers would have gone right into the dogs eyes. I bought her dog pepper spray

On the run up to the dog I look for the dog introduction. Smell your junk and the play bow.
If the dog is aggressive drop your leash best if you can unhook the leash, but probably wont have time.
Then give the attacking dog a kick to the ribs.

Would’ve killed every dog with just a paper clip Rambo style! But really even my deep blue state allows you to defend your dog against another. Would have shot it.
