Agree with this, but I bet we disagree on what needs to be done about healthcare bankruptcy, namely make catastrophic policies available, get rid of lots of red tape and regulations resulting in different requirements for different states, and ensure that people receiving care here are citizens - if not get them stable and deport them right to their home country.

Also people who abuse the system, like visiting the ER constantly for minor issues, should be charged with trespassing by the hospitals and have their tax 'refund' confiscated until their medical debts are paid.

Once this is done I'd have no problem with government sponsored insurances for the truly needy in society that are well run.

Do you understand the concept of a blanket tax break that gives everyone a certain percentage? When that happens, the media reports it as a tax cut for the rich because they get the most money back. Half of your stances could make you sound like you belong to either party, depending on how they phrase the question.

Could you come down from your high horse and please cite the bible verse in which Jesus took from the rich and gave to the poor. Because that is socialistic. Jesus asked for everyone to give, he didn't take it by force of law.

Personally I don't believe it matters who is in charge, democrats or republicans. They are all greedy, dirty and could give two chits less about the American people other than collecting our tax dollars. We've seen just a tiny bit of the corruption that exists, just imagine all the shady stuff going on that we never hear about.

Like many other I believe the president and politicians are just puppets, with a large, wealthy and unknown group shaping the direction of the country for personal gain.

I liked Trump's policies, and his candor, but hated his bravado and his lack of understanding when to shut up. Biden was a moderate Dem Senator that wasn't terrible, but he is absolutely a disaster governing.
Skipping all the social nonsense, because that is all noise and posturing that does not objectively measure policies.
Employers compete in the open market, which gives employees the opportunity to find the best paying job and advance. What happens when there is a shortage of workers like we have now? Employers are pushing up wages beyond the nonsensical arbitrary minimum wages people were screaming about decades ago, because they have to compete for good labor. Unions pervert the market. They are not the Norma Rae unions that made sense, they are just relics, and create issues and drive up costs for consumers.

But to answer your question, Republicans believe in limited (not zero) government, and subsequently low taxes and government intervention so that the individual can pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Since 1995, Israel's National Health Insurance (NHI) law has ensured universal coverage for citizens and permanent residents. As the law states, "Health insurance… shall be based on principles of justice, equality and mutual assistance." Under this commitment, every resident is entitled to health care services

I don't think there is a good solution. Universal healthcare in the US would be a disaster, because our govt is corrupt and inefficient at running anything at all. It would cost 10x what it should, and be 1/4 as helpful as it could be.

The only ways I can think to maybe get healthcare costs is to cap costs on things like other countries do. Basically "medication X can not cost more than Y" (and Y needs to be significantly less than what it currently is). Do the same thing of capping prices for medical procedures.

The other thing they should do with medication is make more medications over the counter. When I was in the Dominican Republic I could get a ton of stuff over the counter that I can't in the US. Amoxicillin was one of the ones I remember seeing at my resorts gift shop. If people can avoid the cost of doctors appointments and still get the same medication, why shouldn't they be able to?
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

You said you would post your beliefs, but you did not. You posted some problems, but did not post the solution you advocate.

For example,
" You shouldn't have to go bankrupt for healthcare"

Okay? Everyone agrees on this? The issue is, what's your solution? Your beliefs are revealed when you talk about solutions. How can you not know this.

Since you're a liberal, I take it you think I should pay for your healthcare?

No, because the world depends on U.S. research and development for new drugs. The rest of the world is leeching off of us.

That's one of the problems. We should have a new global discussion to stop European countries and others from setting caps on their medications. It costs a lot of money to develop drugs, and right now Americans are the ones paying for it, while Germany gets to leech like a ****ing parasite, and benefit from our discoveries while Americans pay for the R&D bill and the Germans enjoy low cost meds because they blackmail the companies into cooperating.

We should force every country to pay their fair share. Europe and others, are essentially stealing from us, to prop up their "free healthcare"

I partially agree with you here, but there is an argument that we can't have the entire world abusing antibiotics because then we will fall into a plague of antibiotic resistant strains of diseases, and kill us all.

Agreed. But what’s your solution? The entire healthcare industry is corrupt and a scam, but the US beats the world in numerous metrics. Our country getting healthier as a whole would reduce healthcare costs.

You’d have to elaborate on this. How are we becoming a third world country? I’m not a fan of the military industrial complex and I sure as hell don’t blindly support everything our military does.

People say that because the F word is considered rude, and it also mocks journalism coverup of anything related to Biden.

If you can’t honestly see the gigantic difference between the BLM riots and the Jan 6th meandering, then you’re easily tricked by the media. You talk about low IQ earlier and then act like the two events are essentially the same thing.

Some employers should pay more, agreed. But whatever you’re deeming a “livable wage” isn’t solely on the employer. Pretending that you can just pay people more money (out of thin air for a majority of companies) without taking into account personal spending habits, lack of housing, rising inflation, is as you put it, low IQ.

Easy. Republicans are low educated brainwashed sheep who only care about themselves and believe they’re better than everyone else.

Republicans are a byproduct of bigotry and low education. That’s why if you look at any study, you will see the more educated you’re the less likely you will vote Republican. This is also why Republicans try very hard to suppress votes, they know if everyone could vote easily, there would never be another Republican elected.

Your average Republican voter.

Your moderate Republican voter.

Your hardcore Republican voter.

The classical Republican platform.

The current Republican platform.

What Republican politicians say their values are.

What Republican politicians actually do.

These are all different things.

Same goes for democrats.

So your question is sort of impossible to answer.

HAVING A BALANCE FORCES PEOPLE TO PRICE SHOP.

Our current system has insurers bidding for care and hospitals gouging to balance it out. It's a joke, and no patient is ever presented with a price menu before treatment, why the fuk not?
Why would insurance companies want you to price shop? This is your network. That's all you get lol

I recall my cousin having a heart issue and was asking for prices to be seen and he said it took them several hours to get him a cost while he waiting in the ER.

As far as left vs. right. It's just too simplistic. We need more parties. I'm conservative in a lot of ways and liberal in a lot of ways. Classical liberal. Not this new bat chit crazy chit.

Your views are "I should get free stuff".

Right so how should that be implemented? How much of others' money do you think you are entitled to just for existing?

Oh come on. You and I both know rural white America and white religious nuts vote Republican. It’s proven. Just like minorities vote Democrat along with highly educated individuals.

Are there people that cross over? Sure. I have voted for Republican and Democrat presidents depending on stances. But generally speaking there is a pattern. Religious nuts are never going to vote Democrat in significant numbers due to abortion views.

And honestly there are legit only 2 reasons to vote Republican. Pro life and military spending. That’s it. I don’t agree with either of those, but those are really your only two arguments for voting R.

I think there are many levels to republicanism (actual conservatives versus populists, for example) so your question is a little difficult to answer. You also sound like you are more of a rust belt dem from 1998.

Anyways, I do agree with more than a few of your points and I think it's pretty cool that you're interested in hearing from others.
