I know what you mean, when you have a family, every member has his/her own rhythm of daily life.

But we also know that it's better than sleeping alone in a house where nobody's around.

Typically once a night I'll wake up to use the bathroom.

I make it a point to not drink anything after 3 unless I'm very thirsty and when that happens I try to drink just a small amount. .

Reading some of the replies after my first post itt, it's clear your problem is your fukking phones. You wake up in the middle of the night and come to the misc? Do you realize that bright screen into your eyes completely fuks your brain up? It clears out all the melatonin. And same thing, on your phone before bed, fuks with your hormone production and that is the #1 reason you sleep like sht.

Turn your phone off 2 hours before bed, just try it for a week, and 99% of your sleep problems will be solved.

I used to wake up in the middle of the night to piss, but then I started taking finasteride for hair loss and it stopped happening, so I'm guessing my prostate was slightly enlarged.

It still happens though from time to time if I drink a lot of water before sleep.

I also wake up for no reason at all around 5 hours after I go to sleep and then keep intermittently waking up and sleeping in 30 min intervals until I decide I'm done with it..

Zero times and I'm in my 30s. My sleeping genetics were always 10/10. Feel bad for people that wake up a bunch of times during the night.

Twice a night to pee
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

WTF? So dehydrate the sh*t out of yourself just to avoid waking up to pee? LMAO... Would rather get up to pee than stop drinking anything past 4 pm.

I was getting up 3 times a night. I found out I was drinking too much water.

Water you drink later on disproportionately stays in your body, due to water retention.

I cut water off about 6 hours before bed, only drinking the minimal amount necessary.

Now i only get up once.

People saying you're dehyrdrating yourself by cutting water off are using a strawman argument.

You're still hydrated from earlier in the day.

Plus, it's not like you can't drink water. Simply put, if you're thirsty, take a sip or two.

MINIMAL AMOUNT.

It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

before I got put on weed I would sleep for around 2-3 hours and then lay awake the rest of the night tossing and turning for 2 or 3 nights in a row which was affecting my everyday life

But a good little high and I sleep 8-9 hours straight easily with no hiccups I love it and now back on track with the gym/work since I actually have the energy for it

edit: and I tried melatonin and it wasn't effective actually made my sleep worse somehow

Although my smartwatch report tells me that I always wake up around 3 AM, I never remember that.
I never consciously get up to go to the bathroom or anything.

You shouldn't even pee more than 3-4 times a day, if you do then either you have some disease or you are drinking too much water.

I've noticed that I've been getting up to piss more often since slack from home, I mean work from home started. I think being more tired from waking up earlier has made me sleep through the night more often than when I can get up 5 minutes before starting work.
