I actually hit 205x2 on ohp as well before just ditching it. No I just do smith machine shoulder press.
Mirin bro. I don't think a lot of folks realize how hard it is to build strength on OHP. It's nothing like bench or any other lift for that matter. It needs to be a seriously good day at the gym to even come close to a PR for OHP. I go in on a ****ty day an I can barely get 185 up for 2 or 3.

Oh yeah it's hit or miss for me too. I have a friend that can do 2 plates for a few reps and he basically had to make it his main focus training it 3x week. Not worth the effort to me.

I've had a few surgeries which set me back. I've been lifting for 15 years now so taking a few long term hits on heavier lifts really sucks. . I do not train 1RM and do Wendlers 5/3/1 but stick to 5 rep ranges all the way through.

End goal for 'strength' standards. I'm anticipating being very close to these numbers for 1 rep maxes by January 1st of 2023. Barring any injuries this year I should achieve.
225lb press.
315lb bench-press.
405lb squat.
495lb dead-lift.

Also I'm only 5'8 but I'd like to be at 9-10 percent body-fat and 200lbs. After I hit those numbers I'm going to focus more on maintaining those strength levels and trying to lean out/perfect my physique. Not really an athlete and mainly focused on health/wellness/aesthetics. I just feel like those are good 'basic' strength levels any man should have.

Hell, those numbers are probably more than most consistent lifters hit. Get it mane. And if you're really going for 10% bf at 200lbs and 5'8", prepare to leave humanity behind srs.

5'8 200 lbs 9-10% BF

good luck bud, even on the sauce that's a difficult number to hit. probably not possible natty.

at that BF% 170 lbs would be pretty damn impressive, but adding 30 lbs of muscle ontop of that? If you've been lifting for 15 years you've likely maxed out on a lot of muscle gain.

What's funny is to a non-lifter those numbers seem super human. After you've been a gym-rat for half of your life the seem basic and nothing crazy. I just feel like I've been in a gym too long not to be able to maintain that strength level.

I've been enhanced for awhile now. Nothing too crazy because I'm focused on being healthy. I've met enough enhanced guys in their 50s-60s to believe that being mildly-enhanced is far healthier then being natty for life. These guys have perfect health, are strong, athletic, vibrant, etc. The key is moderation.

Not going to leave humanity behind fully but I'm certainly going to function like a top 1% of humans.

hopefully cut down into the 190s at 205 rn but down 17lbs since late October but my lifts are getting much more respectable which is a nice change

hit 65 with dumbells on overhead press, always had a bum shoulder so im gradually getting there. Hit 55s last week so I think its doable

Now I'm experimenting with a leg routine that doesn't cripple me and that allows me to make steady progress/at least maintain - trap bar deadlifts and leg press feel much better for now

Also, reach 30 pullups - record is 24
I had two knee surgeries as a lad. Squatting has seem to improve my knee pain though.

I feel like getting stronger up to a certain point improves pain but then getting too strong can make it worse.

People still lift on the Misc? Cool.

Currently winding up to try and hit some S/B/D PR's in a couple months. Last year went 385/240/530, would like to get 405/250/540 at least this time around at <200# vs 205-210# last year. Yeah my bench is fukking terrible, it is what it is. After that I'll cut down to about 185-190# for the summer.

Wife and I are going to decide in a year or so if we want to try for baby #2. Once we either get another in the oven or decide we are one and done I'm going to seriously consider going the TRT+ route. Definitely not leaving humanity behind but I'll be 35 this year and would just like to get a little of dat der fountain of youth action going.

I want to hit an elite total in powerlifting before I die.

So if I get down to 198, that would be 1560 (maybe 500/400/660) for the open... I can knock 20-30 pounds off that if I want to for masters since I'm over 40.

My lifetime PR's are 560 squat, 375 bench and 575 deadlift, so it's not going to come easy.

I'm almost 53 so I'm only looking to maintain at this point. I want to stay healthy and keep my joints healthy, so no interest in trying to lift heavy. I lift 3 days a week and walk for 30 min about 5 days a week.
