My Dalmatian died with just 8 years old, fking stomach cancer.... Shiet was hard af, she was like a sister to me, srs.
17 years is a long time mate. Just think she had a long and loving life while she was around and you were the person that provided that.

I'm really sorry for your loss brah. Take a couple of weeks/months to grieve then go to the pound and adopt a dog. You'll save it's life and it'll help you through the grieving. Some might say you're trying to "replace" your dog, but you aren't. The new dog will have a different personality and won't be like your old dog. It'll just be the new companion moving forward.
That's what I did when my dog Dakota died 8 years ago. I really loved that dog. After about 6 weeks of being sad, I took my wife and kids to the pound where we adopted a puppy who has turned out to be an amazing and absolutely loving animal. I'm sad that Dakota left my life, but I'm blessed that bringing Ava into my life was the end result.
