We had a photog travel with us to VIR, and he just sent out pics.   Some really cools ones he captured.  He got a ton of my son driving.  My favorite is the first pic.  This part of the track is called "Roller Coaster".   You can see he almost have the right rear off the ground.  VERY fun part of the track to drive at speed.   Second pic is "nascar corner' and you sn see how hard left on the brakes is loading the front right of the car.  So cool to make these memories!

I am assuming you mean for a living? Been self-employed since 23. College drop out. Was a double major Bio/physics and did not want to be a teacher and was self destructive drinking too much to try to forget about the problems in my family my soph and Jr years.

I started a construction bus and grew to be very successful by mid / late 20's. Started a helicopter business and also am commercially certified as well as hold an instructor rating. Ran both them and was a work-a-holic and never enjoyed my life. It was always about the next thing. Money never motivated me. I felt I had something to prove. I grew up without a lot and wanted to 'make it'.

Almost killed in 09. Broken neck, frontal brain injury. Took me a year to recover. That is when I started training and taking care of myself again. Realized all the 'stuff' I had brought me no happiness. Simplified. Got rid of 10,000 sqft home on 4 ac and moved into a small neighborhood where my kids had friends to play with etc. Took 3 years off in my late 30s and then started back but understanding where my happiness came from. Invested in realestate, rental homes, and started designing homes. A passion of mine. I lived with a lot less for a while, had a truck and a mini van and was happy as fuk! I still live much more simply than I did in the past . Just enjoy a few toys and the house stuff is an offshoot of my passion to design and build. Stuff and the pursuit of it means very little to me. I try to maximize the time I get to spend the way I want. I have no debt life is simple. I could have a lot more, but I like my time too much.

My big payoff one day might be crypto. Hodler of BTC for a very long time. Never sold, just accumulate. Will never sell until 'life changing'. Go big or go home!

Another track day coming up in 8 days. Spent the weekend at the soccer field watching my son over 2 games and track prepping the car.

My "off" at VIR messed up one of my belly panels. Rather than wait for one to come from the UK, I decided to make it myself. I made a template out of MDF then used a router with a flush cut bit to cut it out. I did the metal bending, forming and lips by hand with a combination of hammers, duck bulls and clamps. Belly pan fits perfectly! I like making things so this was a no-brainer.

New tires going on this week and I will need to heat cycle at least once before hitting the track.

Going to a shorter 2.3 mile road course and it will be a lot of fun!

Definitely fun. Buddy had a Elise and him we ran a bit. Small tracks and tight turns the light weight excels.

Saw pics of it getting aligned, so I have to ask a few questions. Are you able to adjust the suspension enough to corner balance (with an accurate drivers weight in the driver seat)? That makes a huge difference, especially on a car that light because the side to side is a bigger percentage of change than a "normal" car.

Yes car suspension is fully adjustable. Car is sitting on double adjustable Nitron coil over suspension. We did a quick corner balance but did not go nuts. We just tweaked preload a little. With 'fun' racing sometimes it is me or my son in the seat so no point in trying to dial in that critical with 100lbs difference between us.

Corner balance starts to become more critical at the limits of grip. This thing has grip for days and I am not trying to run the ragged edge. I am holding 1.6 cornering right now on street tires. I might go to Hoosier slicks at some point which will definitely revisit corner balance again

Another track day this week! Spent weekend prepping for another track day Wed. This time, a smaller road course which is kind of like our 'home track'. Carolina Motorsports Park. 2.3 mile road course with LOTs of turns so the Lotus will be right in its element.

Just put new rubber on. Trying Nanking Azenis RT660. A lot of people say these will outperform 888's toyos which were on the car.

Got a good heat cycle in them and ready to go. Weather looks good. Spent some time on the sim last night getting familiar with the track again. My son still has me beat by over 1.5 seconds on the sim. Watching his lines and shift points helps me get quicker. He just has a great natural instinct for driving.
