I've only picked them up with pieces of tissue to move them, but it feels like a powerful machine moving around, and solid af

Someone may remember this from a few years ago.
As soon as I saw it I panicked then made a “Halp misc wat do!” thread on the Misc. I just couldn’t accept the fact that there was a Garter snake on the beach and it didn’t need my help.

I see garters a lot in my neck of the woods bro. Like gopher tortoises I just don’t remove them from the wild. Hope it made its way back to where It came from.

This one really got to me…In 2010 I was passing a horse field about half a mile from my house when I noticed two dogs, huge derpy Bloodhound and a Beagle, dragging something around across field. I thought it was a foul at first so I pulled over, bailed out of the car, hopped the fence. As I’m running up to the dogs I realized it was a fawn. She was covered in blood and barely crying. I had to pretty much wrestle her away from the dogs. By the time I got her in my arms I was covered in blood, dog hair and grass.
After I brought her home and got her cleaned up a bit I called animal control. They told me just to make a comfortable and they would pick her up.
After she settled a bit I was able to assess all of her injuries. She had a severely crushed palette, along with a few deep gashes and she was missing flesh from the top of her head.
I can’t remember how long she lasted maybe it was only a few hours, she eventually gave up. It was so sad and frustrating. I sat with her for a while before I wrapped her in a sheet then carried her a mile or so into the woods.

Little bugs that caught my eye. No bugs were harmed in the taking of these pix, they were just annoyed slightly.
