The people in the video only care about the homeless once it's a breaking news story.

How many of them take time out to hand out blankets or interact with the homeless?

I used to always give to the homeless. But my two best mates are police and they informed me that most of them are the scum of the earth.

If you become homeless in the modern west it’s almost certainly your own fault and you made not just 1 but a string of bad choices (save a few very rare cases)

if i see a homeless person with a "help me" sign on the side of the road, and I have a couple bucks on me, I'll roll down my window and give it to them

i don't really care what they spend it on, but hopefully food and not drugs, but if I REALLY cared I'd just give them canned beans or something like a warm blanket

i always wonder how they became homeless and it's just sad to see people like that at stop lights, especially in my area/town which is mostly rich/upper-middle class/suburbanites. It really can't be a job issue considering how many easy as fuk fast food/retail/etc jobs are out there nowadays that actually pay above min wage and don't even drug test employees. So they either don't want to work as a dishwasher or flip burgers, have mental issues/brain and body disorders, are illegal/don't have legal documents, or they're on drugs and lazy and unmotivated to help themselves. Just sad either way you look at it.

Ive been homeless and made it out the other side. I have empathy and have worked with many homeless people trying to get them sober. I don't give them cash though. I know what I would have used it for.

Some homeless people did it to them selves. Unfortunately the covid lockdowns put a lot of people on the streets who probably wouldn't have been otherwise. Have a heart.

Homeless life is cool and addicting so once your homeless and have no family you can stay at its over once you get hooked on drugs and alcohol.
