tiktok is fun

got rid of everything last year (snap, ig, got rid of fb in 2011) but got into tt after being bed ridden sick last fall and they have stuff for everyone. the algorithm is good at catering to your interests. dont have a profile set up, just scroll. would recommend srs

My mate sends me links to tiktok all the time but I never open them. Always just reply with "haha" or "lol" as I know It'll be something funny, just cba watching it.

Have seen some stuff on there which is quite funny. Never understood all the dances that people do though.

I still have an Insta and ******** just to have it, but I don't ever go on them unless someone reaches out to me. I haven't reviewed a feed in over 6 months probably, nor post anything, and that in itself I feel helps to remove a tendency to compare yourself to others and get resentful or jealous.

I've limited myself to using Reddit and the misc basically. And I feel this is largely a positive thing, though Misc can be depressing as phark if you go down the wrong threads, mainly the ones that are blowing up about COVID/Politics, how things were better in the 90's or pre-2012, etc.

Wanted to add to my previous point... not having social media is often viewed by women as a red flag. So have one and make a post with a photo every year and ignore everything else about it lol.

I've pretty much stopped posting on all social media.. but I do have accounts still.. I use twitter, not to tweet, but to keep up to date with Sports especially in Fantasy Football where injuries and chit matter so I got those adam schefters and others on speed dial.. FB my last post was like 1.5 years ago. instagram prob like 3 years without a post. and snapchat, i don't understand it or its purpose, i have like 4 friends from my contact list but Ive never ever used it.

That's a point, I used to love trolling people on ********. Driving Karen's mad and calling out dumb chit all the time. Try do it now you'd probs end up in jail for saying hurty words to someone on the interwebs.

I had a band myspace in 2006 or so and had a ******** account around 2008 but not for long. I never was on anything else. I still use the messenger function to keep in touch with certain friend groups.

Even though I know the words twitter and instagram, I've rarely ever gone on those sites so I really don't understand what people use them for besides global attention seeking.

This may be true if you are meeting them online, but if meeting in-person IRL and they give you their number then you are already passed their vetting process.

Not only do I have no social media, but I got tired of women Googling my phone number so years ago I bought another phone which still has no valid results in search engines. use twitter on a bot account very sparingly.

i use snapchat daily with my friends.

I like twitter for news but 90% of the time I go on there and see something trending.. its a parade of leftists insulting right wingers and spreading negativity
instagram i use for funny videos and following sports teams etc.. twitter is hard to use but its my news source as shtty as it is
