Misc truck people. Why do you have a 5- 5 1/2 ft bed ?

8ft beds are nice for 8ft building materials (tail gate up) and hauling fire wood.
but a crewcab 6.5 bed is fine for building material also.
you just put the tailgate down.
and if you are getting 10ft lumber you are putting the gate down on all trucks.
Though i've put 16ft lumber in an 8ft bed.
would never do that in a 6.5ft bed.
