OP, I used to be like that, but you just have to go for it. Hit on girls KNOWING they're going to say no, it doesn't hurt near as bad. You can always laugh it off. Also, know that hitting on them puts THEM on the spot and you can actually be more calm because you knew what was about to happen and they didn't. Once you do it more it will get easier and easier and, even if rejected, you'll walk away proud of yourself for trying srs. You always beat yourself up for walking away like this scenario. It's really a win-win for you.

I just had a hot server at the bbq restaurant for lunch. Asked her if she had someone (I figured she did she was hot af). If you're going to go for it you're going to get rejected. Girls reject guys all the time. My ex wife used to get hit on at least monthly. Make a promise to yourself and to the misc that you will give a stranger a compliment once a week for a month. After that you can start building the confidence to ask a girl for her number. I've said some crazy shyt to strangers since coming out of my shell. I've told girls they were incredible, amazing, beautiful eyes, skin, hair, outfit, whatever. If feels powerful to walk up to a girl, look her in the eye and say, I just wanted to tell you that you are absolutely incredible and walk away.
