Also i said this yesterday but every governor needs to activate national guard troops and guard every public school( lets say 3 to 5 per school) which is very doable.

The truth is, regardless of these terrible incidents, for a significant number of students, school is much safer than home. So why don't we start posting national guard in peoples homes too?

Physical presence is the least amount of force and is usually the biggest deterrent to people that want to commit crimes, but obviously with a school shooter, that's not the case. The ISD officer plus 2-3 armed guards will make all of the difference while police are on the way or are too chicken chit to go in.Yeah. And soldiers would be in outside the school away from the classroom. Their job would be to keep the threat out and take it out asap.

years ago people would leave their keys in their car.
one day, the owner came out and his car was gone. After that, he didnt leave his keys in the car and locked the door.
People used to leave their front doors unlocked, come home one day and they had been robbed. Solution, lock your door.
Doesnt stop all the crime as there will always be criminals but cuts way down on making it easy for them.
Guy walks into a school, shoots the place up. School does absolutely nothing to prevent it from happening next time. Their only solution is hope. they hope it doesnt happen again. Any solution even brought up is immediately dismissed as hope seems to be some sort of magic wand.
We can secure stadiums, gigantic events like the olympic, airports, you name it, so why not schools? There are companies in every city that do nothing but this sort of stuff.
Just think how deep into the bowels of city hall would one of these nut jobs would get. Not very far is the answer. The politicians protect themselves but mandate our kids go to schools and do nothing to protect them. They actively oppose every common sense solution to protect them.
Sadly, lawsuits are the answer as once the schools have to start paying cash money from their beloved budgets for this stuff, they will magically want to start locking the doors.

As much as I hate to say it, the only way is to make guns harder to get.
"Good guy with a gun" almost never happens and shouldn't be necessary.

That's why we see so many school bombings in places like Canada, Aus, UK and the rest of the developed world.

It would also be far more common if there wasn't tons of red tape for using a firearm in these situations.

So I think when we talk about mass shooters, we need to separate them from the garden variety bullied kid or incel working in IT. There's millions of those and they don't run around pulling triggers.
Your mass shooter brahs invariably
-have a boatload of psychiatric diagnoses
-have no IRL friends and hang out on misc-type websites
-show an escalating pattern of violent / fukked up behavior prior to going postal.
IMO, misc and 4chan type sites are the connective tissue that leads these guys towards trigger pulling.
There's always going to be fukked-up violent men running around because there's simply more mental-health variance among men in general, but IRL doesn't point them in the "blaze of glory" direction. IRL ignores them, or punishes them, but it never really encourages them.
4chan and chit though, they give you a direction. They basically radicalize people already prone to violent behavior.
ER, for example, feels sexually frustrated and rejected by women, the internet introduces him to redpill. So he decides women are the problem, and goes out and shoots them with a super soaker in an obvious mass-shooting dry run. Any IRL person he knows is gonna go "that's completely fukked up", or beat the chit out of him. But 4chan goes like "yassss queen, beta uprising" and validates him. So why is it weird when he buys some Glocks and takes it another step?
60 years ago, ER probably just spends his youth alone at some rich boarding school, uses his dad's money to get a quasi-arranged wife, beats the chit out of her, and no one else really pays attention. ERs have always been out there, but they didn't channel their issues towards terrorist-style blazes of glory. Terrorist acts take an ideology, and all these shooters flat-out tell you they have the same one.
All these manifestos they leave behind? They're like a 4chan thread come to life. Dudes are just regurgitating what they read over and over online, and that's if they don't call out and praise 4chan by name. Frankly, we are the guys in their ears egging them on.
People say these dudes are loners and never talk to anyone. That's bullchit. They're online talking to people every day, it's just that the only people they talk to for years are miscers. Shooterbrahs say fukked-up things, miscers encourage them, they push it further and do fukked-up things, miscers encourage them, they grab an AR and go all anti-sloot white replacement mode, and now miscers say it's a shocking tragedy that no one could have seen coming. Who put that idea in their head?
I think LooksMaximus is the perfect comparison for shooterbrah types. Most of us are sitting here washing through zillions of lines of anti-sloot redpill content on misc, and adding our own. It makes a lot of us bitter mofos, but we're not violently acting on it. But LooksMaximus is obviously a super fukked-up dude. He's reading this stuff, he's internalizing it way more cause he's fukked up, and he has no friends IRL to temper him.
So he gets more into redpill than most of us and starts becoming more... active. He starts making videos about prime slave teenage kunny, and we cheer him on. He escalates it to teenage panty-sniffing, and we cheer him on and validate him. Dude is misc king. So then he escalates it into some seriously rapey IRL approaches on teenagers. If we validate him there, he's only going to take it further. The only people he ever talks to have to tell him no, cause if we keep escalating, he's going to keep escalating and people are going to get hurt.

the root of the problem is not the tools used to carry out these massacres FFS.

Basically if you ran a regression on violence and your independent variables were - isolation, lack of community, family values, infrastructure/programs, access to guns you really believe that access to guns would have no explanatory power?
You also can't compare a war torn country ruled by islamic fundamentalists to the US lmao - compare the US to similar countries.

Look at the obesity rate.... a very easily measurable health metric that has EXPLODED over the last 30 years... I think if you could measure mental health as easily as obesity, you'd see a very similar trajectory in the USA.
guns existed 30 years ago, blowing away a school full of kids didn't.

Mass shootings is definitely exclusively an American problem. Especially in schools. If you don't see that, I don't know what to tell you.
