My dad is currently pretty much dying of cancer srs. When someone suffers alot maybe it's better when it's sudden and over with?
Anyways sad to hear.

Try not to think of the things you didn't do, but of the things you did do. I'm sure you had a lot of quality time together with her living with you for the past year.

Lost my Dad in JAN. Seems like yesterday. It’s REALLY messed me up but it’s getting a little better each week. Lost my Mom when I was a kid so I’m alone now. That’s the worst part.

At least your mom went in a home quickly.

Sorry for your loss, op. Rip to your mother.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I can't imagine what you are going through.
My mother (86) is my best friend and my rock, the thought of me losing her is too scary to think about.
I'm really sorry for the loss of you and your family.
Take care and be strong. *bow*

So sorry to hear that. I know you feel like you didn't do enough but living together for her last year of life was probably such a positive experience. And getting to take care of your daughter was extremely special for her I'm sure. May she rest in peace.

Sorry to great about your loss. It may sound cliche, but think about the good memories you guys had together. It’s definitely a difficult thing to go through. It sounds like she was able to spend lots of time with her grandchild, which is nice. Do you have anyone that you can talk to?

Anyone who has lost a loved one knows that you don't recover. Instead , you learn to incorporate their absence and memories into your life and channel your emotional energy toward others and eventually your grief will walk beside you instead of consuming you. Truly sorry for your loss and may your mom RIP bro
One more Rep!! Yea!

My condolences OP.
I don't have much to offer but when my Mom passed I didn't watch TV, drove with the radio off and had a lot of just alone, silent time. I don't know why that helped, but it really did.

I feel you OP. I lost my mom 8 months ago, she was in that risky 1% and covid took her after 3 weeks in ICU. Do not go down that rabbit hole of things you should have done, could have done, didn't do, etc. Celebrate her life and be thankful for all the moments you DID share with her. Like, be glad that she was living close with you under the same roof this last year. She wouldn't want you to get depressed or feel bad. If she was religious well even better she is in a better place and got another guardian angel. She is up there in heaven and now she knows exactly how much you love her in n a way you couldn’t have expressed in words anyway.
Not going to lie, the logistics of all that has to be done after a loved one passes is a horrible learning experience but unfortunately, we all will have to go through it at some point in our lives.
Stay up and do what has to be done and power through it, let it out when the feels come in waves, give yourself the right to let it out and then composed yourself and be strong for the other family members that need it. There is no right way to mourn and grief, everyone around you will be different.

Also OP; do you drink? Casually or regularly? If you don't great, but if you do... DO NOT HIT THE BOTTLE. I drank normally but rapidly increased my daily intake to stupid levels in the months following my loss and it did not end well. It will not help, do not prolong the grieving process by sedating yourself.

Fuk man.
Sorry to hear that.
Sorry to hear that.
A young bull and an old bull were standing atop a hill looking at a bunch of heifers in a field below.
The young bull says "Let's run down this hill and fuk one of those heifers."
The old bull replies "No. Let's walk down there, and fuk them all."

Sorry buddy, god bless you for having her live with you. When the day comes when my folks are too old to help out, I swore to them and myself they wouldn't go to a home but I'd take them in and give them a room.
You loved your mama, good on you sir. She was home with her family if that brings you any type of comfort.
