My mom passed away today
So my mom has been living with my wife and I for around a year after her porch collapsed with me and her on it almost killing her and myself. She has been watching our 2 year old and we bought 6 acres together to build some cabins with our Rottweilers. I came home today with my daughter on the stairs which was very odd. She starting pointing at her nanas room and saying she isn’t feeling well. My mom was on the floor and it was apparent she was deceased. IDK if I’m in shock or what brahs. I didn’t even talk to her this morning and last night I was kind of a sick about a movie we watched.
I wish we would have done so much more together. Little shiet like going to the movies that I put off for months for no real reason. Buying her some new perfume she wanted, getting the things for the land to get ready and build on lined up. Now my life is completely turned upside down and I have to figure out what do about a funeral and talk to family members I haven’t talked to in 10 years. It’s all surreal. Hold your loved ones brahs.

Sorry.
I know how much you care about your family; I am sure you're going to be much tougher on yourself than reality was. Your mom loved you.

Sorry to hear that OP. RIP to her and condolences to you and your family.
Take solace she was living with you at the end, imagine how much less time there would have been if she hadn't.

Condolences bro. I know it’s hard to hear but you have to focus on the good times.
I’m not sure if y’all are religious at all but either way she’s in a better place and doesn’t have to deal with the bs we all are.
We’re all gonna make it, she just did before us.
I’ve been there and have lost many people in my life (including mother) so if you need a bro PM me srs.

I am so very sorry OP.
Try not to think of the things you didn't do, but of the things you did do. I'm sure you had a lot of quality time together with her living with you for the past year.

Sorry, man. That's hard. How old was she?

Damn chalup, really sorry to hear that. Wife lost her mom earlier this year and it's really been rough, like others have said though, as hard as it is, think of the time you did spend and the good memories, rather than not being able to create more. Thankfully you got to spend her last days with her rather then being miles apart. It's going to hit you in waves, but just keep the fam close and know that she loved you.
God Bless you bro

Truly sorry OP. It's hard losing your mom.
Try not to stress too much about doing all the things. FWIW having a service for my mom was difficult and I cried a lot. But it was really good too. It was good to be around others who knew her and to feel that some people cared.

Nothing hurt me worse than when my mom died and that was a long time ago. It's still fresh in my mind.
However, I was happy with how I had treated my mom in my life and although you didn't do all the things you wanted to do, you had her living with you and she didn't die in some lonely place.
Plus, one of the reasons you weren't doing a lot with her was because you took it for granted that she would be around for a long time and so you didn't have to do everything at once. If you're going to be wrong, it's okay to be wrong like that.
