Thought they'd pick the conquest by Aegon or the pre Doom as the main story. I can't even remember the plot to the Targaryen civil war.

Stating of course it was written long before Roe v Wade happened but yet somehow came to the conclusion that at the time the directors and cast were somehow privy to the future. Unless you somehow find evidence that it was an added or reshot scene, I don't see how your argument holds any water. I mean in GOT Danaerys had a pregnant scene where she sacrificed her child in hopes of getting her husband back, that was a long fuggin time ago. Are you also claiming that somehow that scene was influenced by what's going on now as well?

Yeah I know. I think it depends on how they view race in the show. I’d rather they kept the character OG. There hasn’t been a single mention of race so far in the show, the black guy could have been green or red. Its not like its like the new LOTR where the elves are black and he is having a forbidden love relationship with a white chick and they have to do it secret or chit will get real.

I mean any scene that gets made you can compare and contrast to any issue that is in modern day. It wasn’t as if the Queen died and then people started picketing in the castle saying “Her body, her choice.” It could be what they believe about Roe. v Wade or they could be just playing the field and not angering anyone but disregarding Roe. v Wade. I wasn’t even thinking about RvW until ppl brought it up, the scene was for me a way to show the lengths that a king would go to continue his line, even if it meant his wife dying, his daughter hating him, and the gods abandoning him.

Didn’t Dae sacrifice her baby in the OG GoT?

Episode two was average, nothing too exciting. The end credits tho, next episode gonna be lit.

Spoiler!
Fkn died when Vis chose Alicent over Layla or whatever.
Bis just created like three new storylines of people that hate him. Not sure if Alicent has royal blood, not sure why Vis chose her. I guess he had gotten closer to her but they didn’t portray any love in the scenes.

It seemed like the saved alot of the budget in this episode for the next, looks to be a major battle between Dae/Cor vs the Crabbers. Hopefully some more intriguing characters show up, don’t really care about anyone outside of Dae and Ali.

Just watched it, for the most part it was the best episode on character development. First thoughts were I like the development of Rhae and Vis. Rhae is that rebellious high school teen whose dad remarried and feels neglected so she acts out by AFKing IRL from her new family. The scenes with Vis surrounded by everyone in the tent highlight the chitty life of a king. Everything is essentially on your shoulder, can't chill, can't do anything you want to bc there is always something that is fking you that you have no control over.

Spoiler!

There really isn't much to spoil. I was about to rage bc in the previous preview of episode 3 it showed alot of hand to hand combat. The intro dragon scene just showed Dae showering fire down on the Crabbers and then cutting away. I didn't care for Rhae after the first two episodes, but after this she really improved with her mannerisms. The snarky "I hate you dad" attitude is LOL when talking to anyone her elder. She bertstares the Lannister guy when she realizes he's trying to wife her up. Vis bert stares Otto when Otto tries to wife up Rhae with 2 yr old Aegon, my fiance started raging about that lmao.

Nicest boar ever, just tackled her and gave her a good snogging.

Inb4rage
End of epi shows Cor and his son + Cor's brother I think at the war table debating on what to do bc they are getting fkd by the Crabbers. Vis decides to be a team player and sends letter of help to Dae which makes Dae rage quit and go after the Crab King solo. I really hate films/shows that have a person or group or people charge something and every arrow/bullet misses them. It would have been better off if the writers cut the number of archers in half and placed them in spots where they could only fire 1 or 2 shots before they were out of range. Dae must have been shot at with 200+ arrows, he didn't get hit until the story needed him to fall into the shed. Ballsy plan to lure out as many of the Crabbers as possible so that the other dragon riders could swoop in at the last minute and incinerate the Crabbers. I liked that they showed the intensity of the dragon fire, everything that the fire touched was turned into ash leaving feet and arms unburnt. Dae keeps/gains his honor and Vis plays no part in the defeat of the Crabbers.

Episode 3 is pretty legit. It's definitely a slow burn and I'm getting antsy for action but I can see where they are going with it and I appreciate the character development

This show is blowing ROP out of the water for me so far

Hurr durr Daemon just taking on an army alone, killing like 50 dudes and dodging every single arrow.

There was a sense of real stakes in the first few seasons of GoT. Like we already know Daemon doesn't die in this little side quest, do they really have to shove it in our face?

They were raining arrows on him, he takes a few, no problem, keep on going, slicing through an army solo as they go at him one by one like a Jackie Chan movie, holding a bloody greyscale carcass, whatever. That was some retard Captain America chit bro.

Like I get it, this is a fantasy world with dragons, I'm all for dragons, but this is supposed to be a human. Before you know it this guy's gonna be doing backflip triple twister 1080s like Yoda in episode 2. Would be nice if they just practiced a little restraint in the spirit of GoT seasons 1-4.

The Roe v Wade commentary is a lie. If that was where the idea for the labor scene came from it means that it would have been shot just a few months ago. The fact that HOTD released w/out delay means they’re lying for their brownie points.

Show’s alright tho. I don’t mind the woke female empowerment stuff because I know how the girl’s story ends. (Spoiler)

Good she's been nothing but a bitch for no reason the entire first 3 episodes

Teetering on cancelling or continuing depending on how woke this gets.

Also the actor they picked for the king pisses me off. Dude just looks weak and soft. Like a fat older Ari gold but threw a white wig on him.

Spoiler!

Well at the end of the episode Vis tells Rhae that she can choose who she wants to marry, she smiles and thanks him without words for allowing her to pick someone that she likes. Its not that she is opposed to marriage, she is just opposed being shoved out the door to any random person. The Lannister tries to marry her and she’s like eww no. Otto wants her to marry the 2 yr old Aegon. The other King’s man wants Rhae to marry the oldest son of Coryls.

I’m not sure how saying “I don’t want to marry him” is woke. Sansa didn’t want to marry Joffrey, Dae didn’t want to marry Khal Drogo. Cersei didn’t want to marry Robert Baratheon. Sansa had to marry Tyrion. Sansa also had to marry Ramsay.

I’m not seeing how things are woke when its been shown in films/movies/books and irl instances for all of eternity.

You are completely cringe.

In this Era women are basically raped to death or **** out babies until they die. The first episode we see a king cut his child from his wife's stomach killing her. Please tell me how woke that is for all the women. My gf sat there cringing in disgust during that scene. There is no woke agenda or girl power sh*t going on.

The princess story about not wanting to marry and **** out babies is probably the most reasonable believable part about this entire fantasy show. Her mom died and she lost multiple siblings during child birth.

People like you spend way too much time on the internet being swayed by Andrew tate retards. Just because a show has a female character who doesn't want to be a stereotypical female all of a sudden it's woke?

Jesus man. Get off the internet and learn to enjoy things without worrying about women or black people ruining things for you.

See the race change is dumb and unneeded

But you can get away with it if the story is good (which it is)

Unlike ROP which is trash.. with random race swaps of hobbits/elfs

TBH most of the **** that show has got is over the Mary Sue White woman who can do everything.. galllllaaadriel

I mean in GOT Danaerys had a pregnant scene where she sacrificed her child in hopes of getting her husband back, that was a long fuggin time ago. Are you also claiming that somehow that scene was influenced by what's going on now as well?

Show’s alright tho. I don’t mind the woke female empowerment stuff because I know how the girl’s story ends. (Spoiler)

Do we read? I never said that's what actually happened. Of course the scene was shot long before. I'm saying that's what they're saying, simply to point out how desperate they are to jump on anything that gives them woke points. It's a stupid scene to liken to the Roe V Wade situation anyway, I have no idea why they would even mention it. It speaks of their mindset and way of thinking: political ideology over great storytelling.
