Yeah it’s been that way for a while, I was fairly liberal as a kid~ but college solved that real quick with all the elective and social sciences promoting captain saveahoe for all the non status quo and you realize it’s all bull**** dopamine fiending for these *******s. This was almost 20 years ago when *******s first started pandering to radical and Islam after 9/11

I ended up going to that high school too and rubbed elbows with alot of those people since he was my brother. It set me back as well although i didnt get into that lifestyle as hard as he did. It was a major setback in our careers and mental health. Now that I'm older and look back at it, I realized I actually never liked any of his friends and should have never have been around any of them.We moved to where we live specifically for the schools. But an interesting story. Our old house (and the reason it is our old house) got redistricted right when my daughter was getting ready to move up to middle school.
My wife and I figured we would try it for a year. It was NOT good. We recognize the influence that kids peer groups have on them especially as teens. My daughter even for that one year started to drift in a not so great way. Wanting to wear too much make up as an example and her very young 'friends' talking about wanting to have sex with their boyfriends. And before I hear it, we have had a very open relationship with my daughter about boys and sex and all those things from a very young age. She talks more to my wife about 'advice' but we are lucky enough that she comes to us for guidance and advice still. It is very special to have that trust with your kids.
So we decided to sell our home (which we took a 100k loss on as it was now in a less desirable school dist.) and we rented a home and worked out I was able to buy property and build the home we live in now. Was that fukin crazy to do all for our kids school? Some might say yes. But it was never a question. Kids can go down the wrong path so easily and there are no guarantees even in the best environments. SO we chose to always stack the deck in the favor of the outcome we wanted with the kids from families which also have expectations for their own kids. Growing up is challenging and we were not just going to rely on love and hope that our kids turned out OK. We pretty much dedicated ourselves to doing anything we could to help assure that outcome.
No regrets....That is just what you do for your kids.
But yes, I agree that school will have a HUGE impact on the development of your kids. Choose wisely and make the best choices you have. Hell, I met my wife in high school and that changed my life. Think about those years for you and impact it still has left on you. Friends and paths and relationships....etc. That might be one of the biggest influencers at a critical time.

It is not part of a religion, but rather a way to navigate life. Maybe there is some Buddhist in there...but like I said, I cant say I believe in any religion. I wish I could, but it does not seem to fit. I believe in a multitude of parallel universes, possibly infinite and very much am sure our 'existence' is not just what we can see of it.
My daughter is like I am. Very high IQ so she is not mature enough emotionally to balance out her level of intellect. She needs more life experience to have the appreciation for all things.
I used to be like that. As a teen I felt we should kill old people as they are a drain on the economy and dont produce. It took having more life experience to have perspective. For her right now, she does not have the life experience to appreciate the broad spectrum of issues that arise in this debate. I would say I am pro choice for very early on, but personally it is not what I would choose. I am very much against late(er) term abortions.
She is just a kid, developing ideas as she has experiences in life. Very easy early on to not value the lives of the unborn. A lot changes when you hold your own child for the first time if you are lucky enough.
We have debates on it often, and I understand totally why she feels how she does. I only try to get her to understand the spectrum and come to feel what she does because it is HER belief and not be manipulated by headlines or just follow the 'sheep'

Took me a lot of maturing and life experience to learn to appreciate the differences of us all. As an adult I learned to really appreciate the spectrum that the world has to offer. But a lot had to do with marrying a great girl who made everything in life better.
I recognize that with other influences, my life might have been a very dark one. Instead, I love every day and most every person has something to offer. I marvel everyday at how awesome the unpredictably of life can be.
This galton board sits on my desk to remind me of the simple truths of this world. It is one of my favorite things. My wife got it for me and no matter how many times I flip it over, I just get to watch the beauty of organized chaos.

This was one of the gifts that jews brought to America after we saved them from the "evil" nazis who hated them for no reason at all.
Its called the Frankfurt school of thought, its part of their "march through the institutions", its why schools teach whites to hate themselves among alot of other horse ****.
It's well documented, not even a conspiracy.

It KILLED ME to take a soc class in college for the exact reasons your daughter stated.
The professor would just ask these vague behavioral questions to the class, then whatever the student would answer the professor would just say “ why is it like that? Is it because society tells us to act like that?”
It was always just this circular logic of individual behaves like this because society tells him too but society of made up individuals?
It never added up

College is like throwing your daughter in the devil's playground to be feasted on by horny young men, poor social influence, and massive propaganda.
I remember my first week of college. We had orientation and we were told that 1 in 4 females were sexually assaulted by the time they leave college, then the next day they gave us thousands of different condoms in boxes and all the kids took handfuls and ran out the auditorium with teachers trying to stop kids from leaving and ultimately failing because they gave horny kids free condoms for "safe" sex. Then we had a bbq on the main street and at the end of the day all the freshmen boys went to all the sorority houses and all the freshmen girls went to the frat houses for a party. The first house I stepped into I was literally sexually assaulted as all the sorority girls picked their freshman guy to prey on and feed alcohol to via peer pressure. I didn't budge on that though as this chick was literally feeling my up from my crotch to my face wanting to fuk me at 10pm. All the freshmen girls went to the frats to get preyed on and fukked. Every sorority was like that. I went to a few frats because the kid in our group had an older brother that was like the frat king. Holy **** at how fukked up it was. The drugs, alcohol, the slooting, etc. By the end of the night 8 freshmen had to go to the hospital and get their stomachs pumped, I saw a girl that was drunk and coked out smash her head coming down the frat stairs in front of me outside and they picked her up and held her as campus police drove by while blood was starting to roll down her head, and she had a concussion and was one of the 8 that was mentioned on the state news that weekend talking about how insane college culture is nowadays and they did a whole story on our school about it.
Yea, I'd say college isn't a place for daughters. This was a private school known for good academics too and not like Arizona state or Texas U.

I couldn't tell you how many times I walked into a room at a party only to witness someone's daughter getting trained by 5+ dudes raw(120% srs)
They only go to college to get pumped by Chad; are people actually naive enough to believe a 19 year old thinks beyond Friday night sex? Fukking lol
Wood not be surprised if a gal living on campus in 2022 takes 100 wieners or more in 4 years
Keep them home until they're set to be married, her ability to cook & raise children is far more important than any "management" job she could ever have

good dad OP, can tell you raised her well, she's got a strong head on her shoulders
in my opinion she should just forget about sociology and become premed or smth, plenty of cool stuff to do as a nurse/doctor plus it pays well plus not as much liberal BS
college should be a means to an end of making money as an adult imo and I don't think she can really go wrong with that path

Lol at expecting to learn anything from college
Our education system is based on the Prussian system. Which was designed to make obedient factory workers and soldiers
College like school is a fit test. Companies hire people from college because they know that person has passed the outlier test and will conform to social standards

I have to say one of my best professors was quite leftist and black, but never pushed ideology-just material-James Baldwin, Nella Larsen's Passing. Knowing some of the deeper history of those times was quite informative. I came in ready to scoff but left with a bit more respectful attitude, srs. If the profs are spouting off bullcrap of today's nonsense (ACAB, BLM), it might be worth it to dig deeper into the original civil rights movement where the real changes happened, when millions marched for rights...not into Footlocker for Nikes....
Anyway, I'd advise go in with an open mind, just don't let the brain fall out lol. There is a lot to learn out there that sometimes we block out without even knowing.
