lol you'll do/say anything but admit he played his own part of things going the way they did for me. Youre not addressing any of the laid out points as to why he was wrong.

However who is to not say a "suspicious person" isn't on their own private property in a different circumstance? I'm not trying to justify what had happened, just trying to breakdown the law without having personal bias. (Ded fkn Srs)
Exactly, that guy could have been the homeowner. But the cops have ZERO way of finding out unless he gives them ID. Or at least a full legal name to look him up. All they know is they get a call saying suspecious man at a property. They have to investigate to find out who he is and what's going on.

They were 100% in the wrong once they found out he was supposed to be there though.

yup but its not a waste of time

and no its not to "stick kit to the man" you can legally sue the city and file complaints about arresting officers which will make them look bad if they try to step up their position.

do you freely give out all your information to people who ask?

imagine submitting to authority over nothing. good little cuck. guvments love them

Comply & if you can't prove you have permission to be on someone's property then simply leave if asked

Exactly the problem with anti-police people; they find the dumbest things to be offended about

Would've taken all of 15 seconds to show an address on a license & the police would've left

If the cops had an issue with it they could sit there on the streets and observe the guy watering flowers.

Alabama also does not have a stop and ID law. So he doesn’t have to do jack **** to identify himself.
This is why people who have no idea about law shouldn't speak. Not having a stop and identify law only applies to randomly stopping someone and asking for ID. Its an entirely different matter when you're under suspicion of committing a crime or being investigated. Then you are REQUIRED to identify yourself by your full legal name or produce an ID.

Hey bro, make sure that you have a notarized document that the dog you’re walking belongs to you. You don’t want to be stopped and accused of being in possession of a stolen item.

Make sure to get that notarized document that you have the ability to collect your neighbors newspaper while they’re out of town.

Honestly, would have taken two seconds to show a driver’s license.

Is it unfortunate? Sure. But barely a hassle.

Fukk off wincel you mentally unstable fukk. Get off the forum and go get mental help from a professional before you snap and randomly kill innocent people.

Also yes casing a place only is to make sure its worth kicking the door in or going through a window. And appearing as though all you're doing is watering the plants is a reasonable cover story as to why youre on the property in the first place. Criminals do it all the time. They pose as door to door salesman, hell the is another thread right now about them posing as delivery people. Fukk off at being intentionally obtuse.

Yes you say, OK.

And the police always do that, and everyone up to no good just say they have the owner's permission to be there, and the police do nothing, and eventually (soon!) someone is murdered by a burglar who the police just let be because they had an excuse, and then we hear.... lmao you keep making up straw men arguments no one else is making to try and prove some imaginary point to justify this mans ridiculous behavior. He didn't need a notarized document all he needed to do was show some humility, give them his full legal name or id when they asked. But instead he wanted to act a fool and pull the race and Pastor card.

You think Jesus would be ok with someone who claims to work under his name to be behaving that way? To have so much pride in himself as to refuse to be compliant with the law?

Romans 13

Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. 2 So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow. 3 For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. 4 The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. 5 Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should.

Lol it’s called being a good neighbor and not some autistic weirdo that doesn’t have a sense of community.

How insecure are you about your sexuality that you would even relate being a good neighbor to being a homo?

I’m sorry that your friends and neighbors don’t trust you to help them out when they’re out of town.

In most places if police are investigating a crime, you gotta ID yourself no matter how BS their excuse is. I was harassed at a gas station once, had just bought a 2 liter of diet cola not even 2 minutes sitting in my truck texting back someone before I drive away and a cop pulled up shining a spotlight on me blocking me in from backing out. Then after a few minutes of him blocking me another car came. They come up and do the ID thing. Asked them what crime they were investigating. Told me something like "illegal boarding/ sleeping in truck" I was like what the heck but gave him the ID. Something came up on their computer that I had already dealt with but made the cops attitude turn way more aggressive. Asking me a million questions, where am I going, where have I been, how long have I been here, wanted to see my military ID, asked to search and told them no. Told them I am not answering any more questions without a lawyer this is getting ridiculous. Had me get out of vehicle which I know no matter what when a cop asks you that you have to get out. Then they searched through all my stuff, found an empty plastic bag that I had gotten from my college where they gave out a little index card with a note and some mint candy inside. They test the bag for drugs. Dont even say if I am free to go or anything they just drive away. I hate dealing with them. I had tried to show them the receipt that would prove I was just in the gas station not even 2 minutes before they pulled up but they were acting like schizos saying no dont reach for anything I dont wanna see it. fuk em after everything especially in 2020 people arsoned 55 buildings in tampa and were throwing bricks through car windshields off the I-4 on ramp and cops didnt do **** but they want to harass "easy target" law abiding, tax paying, normal people that wont fight back. Wont do a damn thing about all the aggressive drugged out vagrants harassing me every time I want to pump gas or go to my truck from a grocery store. But go full swat mode with plate armor vests over some psycho woman I have not seen or spoken to in 11 years making fake claims.

Nope. In my example, I’d be the one calling security.

In any situation that would even remotely lead to chest thumping, I’d just call security. I’m not a retard and am not risking losing my job over some low I.Q. doofus. A patient can literally assault me and I have do everything I can to not escalate before security arrives.

It’s hard to equate most jobs to what police have to do- but there is surely better ways this could have been handled- from both sides.

"Investigating" a potential crime in my state, you have to ID yourself, you are being detained and investigated. You dont have to speak but you must ID yourself. If you do not ID yourself you will be arrested for resisting arrest, even if you did not do any crimes to be arrested, it is stupid but the way it is here. They can make up any BS excuse and say they got an anonymous call, it doesnt matter. Look I dont like them either. But getting arrested and then going to war with your local police is a terrible thing to do unless you can afford an expensive lawyer, can afford to pack up all your **** and move to avoid their retaliation and they WILL retaliate with things like $800 BS tickets for overgrown grass that isn't overgrown etc, and then it takes 4+ years for the lawsuit to get figured out in court. It is not worth it. Know your rights and do not push it. The cops have the entire system on their side and it is dangerous to mess with them. They will go as far as harassing your family members and things. It is terrible and some serious changes need made but it will never happen. The system relies on the current state of things and will not work to dismantle itself and give up power.

It’s hard to equate most jobs to what police have to do- but there is surely better ways this could have been handled- from both sides.
Right, because we all know the consequences. If you were to escalate with the client you would be fired and possibly sued.

My point being is that there is a standard for you and me (professionalism, not escalating with a client) and another standard for cops who can be as unprofessional as they want with no repercussions.

I would be indignant as well if I were watering flowers and three moron cops came up and started acosting me.

DO NOT FEAR THEM

there are plenty of activists on your side. look into your local area laws. lots of push backs in these stupid states. look into who runs your jurisdition, ask questions, file complaints. DO NOT SUMBIT. these people have 80k cushiony jobs cuz all us 40k plebs know nothing about it or ever ask quesitons. call your local rep, make complaints. learn the laws that cdontrol you and push them. even as common man. dont let them have full control
