I don't see how eating bugs turned into an anti conservative stance. I will never eat bugs because they are gross, but I remember a while ago, you had people like Bear Grylls and other survivors eating bugs in the wild, and people who would describe them as badass in the misc.

What happened?

Shouldn't it be badass to eat bugs? Or is it because it's now mainstream?

The meat/sugar/smoking the goverment wants it to tax it extremly or ban it, it is widely known in the netherlands.

they think eating too much meat causes too much carbon, the left is crazy. they are preparing us to have meat a few times a week only.

the smoking ban is ok with me. (im a smoker and this does cause to me to stop smoking)

sugar tax= just money grab.

because it often coincides with "climate change" and "anti-meat" stances. Nobody really has a problem with eating bugs, but moreso with the pushing of bugs as a dietary staple along with other meat substitutes to replace animal diets. Which ultimately comes down to control. The govt wants to expand control of your life which includes what you eat in a way they deem is sustainable; hence the pushing of bug diets. But will tell half truths.

but truthfully, bug extracts have been used in a lot of foods, i.e: carmine as red food colouring.

You just can't be too sure with processed foods.

Context.
eating bugs to stay alive in a survival situation = badass

meat being villainized by a global cabal = b*llpuckey
Animal products are being specifically targeted as part of the net zero initiative, even though:

- a lot of land is not suited for growing plants that humans can eat

- some biospheres benefit from ruminant animals

- animal products [meat/cheese/eggs/honey/leather/etc.] only make up a very small percentage of an individual westerner's total C02 emissions- going FULL VEGAN will only reduce one's "personal emissions by 4.3%.

- there are some solid points against CO2 being the causative agent behind the changing climate

^^^
Kind of long, but covers the "movement".

Better if anyone is really not aware still that meat isn't so bad. Factory farming I'm not a fan of, but industrialized meat isn't "all meat".

they will buy it when cricknuggets are 3 dollars and chicken is 10 and beef is 20 - all the government has to do is regulate it out of existence, which leftists are really good at doing

You are missing the point? It’s introduced early, to kids, to condition them to accept it. Obviously no sane adult would accept this.

This is why public education exists, actual letters from real mail exist going back and forth between elites talking about how it’s important to take kids away from parents early , so that they obey and do what they are told. No home schooled farm boy will shoot strangers on command half way across the world because Bush or Obama told them to. You must take them early and make them say pledge of allegiance and make the State their parent.

Same thing here, condition the kids early, their brain isn’t fully developed yet, they are easy to steer. This is much more effective than forcing someone to eat bugs.

Trolling?

Kids think anything is cool. That’s a stupid argument.

Bugs are edible? Help yourself. But don’t push this onto kids. This is for PARENTS to do if they choose to.

Bugs are not unhealthy? I suppose you have done tons of research, yes? Or can it be you’re just repeating what you heard on CNN? Because bugs are indeed unhealthy according to many sources, but you don’t hear them on CNN, I wonder why…

I remember I ate one or two insects in Thailand, i think it was. Locust & a Scorpion.

They were cooked to charcoal and heavily seasoned, so you couldn't really tell what you were eating, but it was not very nice & tasted unpleasant.

Can't see it forming the basis of a full meal for anyone

Imagine the future where majority of societies jobs have been replaced. And the only thing that’s left is too mine Bitcoin in the metaverse. Government aid meals of Soylent and crickets. Meat will be too expensive

Think of the cricket genocide.

Seriously though this wasn't voted on or asked for by anyone, isn't that scary how social engineering is enforced with 0 consensus? There's often talk of how the elites give us a "choice" but it doesn't seem to be that way at all.
Also this. Just exposing more of the clown world. If it’s not cute and fluffy they don’t care.
