I don't really care if they want to use them for animal feed to increase protein content so long as they aren't stupid about containment and monitoring for disease.

But I'm not a fan of the pressure on humans to eat bugs.

This is kind of counter-productive to your point. I get it, eating bugs is complete idiocy. That being said, the "push" you're talking about is on a fraction of a degree of the "vegan" push which really isn't even THAT hard when you actually look at it.

They know people will never buy salads. Ban meat/burger adveritsing/raise prices and you're putting them out of business. No one's buying the big mccricket.
