Well quick update is I’m healing quicker than I have before. The thing is it’s hard to poop. That’s what hurts. It makes me wonder if its even my back or if I have digestive issues or maybe a hernia in the back of my intestines. This happens on and off and every morning when I wake up my bs k hurts until I can either pass gas or poop. One day I ate two pizzas and wings before the gym and was leg pressing and that’s when I irogibss was Lou hurt it. Now it’s off and on. I took ex lax this morning to poop and I feel better. I was working out of town and they were paying for all of our meals and I went overboard eating at Mexican restaurants everyday and then lifting. I deadlifted on a full belly again and this happened. Not sure what it is

I took a visit to snap city once. From that point on I always give deads my undivided attention. You can still go heavy but form is foremost.

the whole point of the deadlift is that you can lift lots of weight while bracing your spine in a mechanically sound position
chances are OP is starting with hips way too low on his deadlift and he enters the lift with a curved back

No one should ever dead lift, there is literally no money or anything else in life worth having permanent back pain for the rest of your life.
I can see some athlete or somebody else using very light dead lift for some reason to strengthen some muscle group or general conditioning, but generally speaking if you deadlift heavy, you are an idiot. Think about where you’re doing, you’re literally picking something up and putting it back down, it’s not going to make your dick bigger, earn you more money, Or get you more pussy.

I think deadlifts can have a purpose but you can build a much better back with stable/chest supported movements and just learning proper movement patterns for the lats and upper back muscles in a stable environment.
I see tons and tons of twinky DYEL soyboys pulling 500 though now.

Snap city looking real nice this time a year. Visited once as well, never deadlifted since. I only do RDL's, bent-over rows and hypers to keep lower back strong for squats. Have to master a weight even if it's 100lbs before moving up heavier. Lots of warmup needed for DLs.

I quit doing deads about a year ago after injuring myself for the third time. I feel like if you lose focus on your form for even a second, you put yourself in a really bad position. Even bench and squats you are far less likely to injure yourself.
99% of the dudes I see doing deads at the gym are bouncing the weight up and using absolutely terrible form. It's a great exercise that most people do completely wrong and dangerously.
