Can’t remember what they are called, but there are periods in the planets history in which species just spontaneously appeared, and much more evidence that shows that Darwinism is more of a gradual and subtle change, not this cross species jumps. For example, hummingbirds with shorter beaks died out, while hummingbirds with longer beaks survived because they had access to more food.

Not many in the science community likes this, because it further suggest that there is a God.
Atleast the intelligent atheists switched to simulation theory. Which would have the same creation structure as a “god” philosophically.

At that point it’s really just semantics and perception.

If you want to make a relevant argument, look at the modern world. Every time a dictator rose to power, they went after the religious groups first because they would be the most difficult to control. Under Stalin, it was noted that Christian women, as well as all the world religions, like monks, could not be controlled at all.

The women of faith were among the strongest in society. They refused to turn on their husbands, their neighbors, family… this is very well documented.

I'm sure this was rhetorical because we all know the answer, but it reminds me of the Ronnie Coleman quote:

Denying basic, bio 101 level science will get you nowhere. We've been through this enough, the evidence of common ancestry is vast, no use repeating it. I recommend enrolling in introductory biology courses.

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you". Matthew 28:18-20

He didn't exactly say to go in front of Costco lol. In Bible Study we talk about it other ways because getting in people's faces can turn people off. I would leave around my Bible Study lesson in my backpack because I went to Bible Study after work and maybe someone would ask about it. I tell people I go there and see if they inquire. In sales they used to say that you throw out nuggets or plant seeds.

Acting like Christ is the goal but it's tough as he was God and we are humans and tempted by evil, and now there is a lot of evil in our society around us.

No we do not! Animals did come before men. That is in the Bible and according to science. Just science is more flawed and foolish compared to the word of god. You’re better off getting knowledge and facts from the Bible. I’ll see you there after this life likely. Im not a saint I sin. I just believe in it. It’s not an easy thing to deny yourself and follow god.

Yes we do, it is utterly supported as a fact in modern science. The opinion of someone utterly untrained in any of this saying we dont on a bb forum means actually zero. I suggest introductory biology courses, so you can see and understand the evidence.

Pretty sure I had passed biology in high school! It was boring. Gym, history and shop were the fun classes.

Nope, humans, who are apes, descended from apes, and the evidence vastly supports this. Again, this is correctly taught in any basic biology course. As I had to remind Deathstroke: a few people rambling off wrong hot takes on a forum just doesnt mean anything at the end of the day. Science, the field of biology, and the world marches on, doing their things, regardless of what people untrained in any of this think about it. If you, or your kid goes to a university and enrolls in biology, takes AP biology, etc, they will learn the correct fact of common descent.

I knew facts like being related to common chimps would rustle people in here, it's quite predictable. This is why I used it as an example to use against with militant christians in your face like the OP. Amusing because they arent rustled by other supported facts such as atoms existing, germ theory of disease, gravity, ancient rome existing, the American revolutionary war happened, etc. They just single out evolution because 1) they think it makes man into mere beasts and 2)it conflicts with their scriptural text in various ways. Too bad, the facts dont care about what we think or feel.

It's funny how secularism is now the louder voice in saying, "The End is Near!"

It wasnt that long ago the louder voice was from The Church of God, its awesome how fast things can change.

Its awesome how religion and science are now sharing the same message, God should be praised for this message that brings us together.

Glory to God

I mean you talk like this but my mom who is a PhD working with some of the most brilliant biochemists in the country met at a conference of phDs and leading professionals in their various degrees discussing new findings within the last few years at penn state where she had taught before moving on to contracting at state department / world bank contracting etc..

And they all disagree with your 40 year old take. But keep feeling superior for your entry level knowledge as you try and lord it over randoms on the internet.

Or go try and get some real credentials

Do you think that the science books have changed since the 1960s or even 70s? Don’t put your thinking in a box. Steven Pinker, along with three or four others had a good discussion on the changing scientific evidence that hasn’t caught on quite yet. They are in the process of discussing these findings with others in the scientific community. As more data is collected, more discussions are had, it is quite possible the landscape of the history of humans we know scientifically could change dramatically.

As a whole, many are having trouble with this idea, but like everything, people become set in their ways, especially those who helped create the previous scientific conclusions. There are a few want to be wrong, so they will fight it anyway, even scientists.

Some thing I always keep in mind, is that we are dealing with the intelligentsia. This area is full of narcissists. I’m not even kidding.

Uh what? You are calling evolution and common descent a 40 year old take? What are you even saying. Talking about your mom now? What are your 'real' credentials in the subject, Im interested to know?

Sorry (not sorry?), evolution and common ancestry is not discarded whatsoever in biology lol, it literally is the underlying principle of the entire field of biology. Please spend more than 5 minutes researching the topic, preferably take a class in said subject- again, it is completely covered in modern textbooks and university courses (why would this be case if it has been 'discarded' by the scientific community, which your mom (supposedly) wrongly thinks?).

You share a common ancestor with the common chimp and bonobo, that's what the evidence says. Cope with that however you want. Denying basic facts, whether it's you or your mom, gets you nowhere.

This is rambling. The evidence vastly supports common descent and is taught today in every AP bio class, university bio class, in modern biology textbooks, etc. There is no controversy at all in the scientific community that evolution happened throughout the history of life on earth, it is as well grounded as the notions of atoms are in chemistry. Are there questions about how exactly it occurs? Im sure there are. But you are manufacturing a controversy (whether common descent is a thing, period) that doesnt exist, nor is supported in the vast literature. Again, the field of biology and the world doesnt care about what some random people offer up as hot takes on a forum, none of this matters lol.

No I’m calling it a very basic understanding.
My “40 year old take” comment is due to the fact you are just regurgitating the same biology 101 memorized take from professors who haven’t delved deeply into the subject in that time period.
My reference to mom and other leading professors who actually get paid big money and do big research indicates I get my sources from what I view to be much more “qualified” than someone who talks like he knows everything just because he follows the first few attempts at understanding an astute observation (Darwin, even if maybe technically not all his work was his own.)

And as far as you’re concerned I’m just a crazy person on the internet. I just happen to know I’m much more open minded than you, and much more introspective, and I have much smarter people to get information from. So take your smugness from AP biology or bio 101 and eat a dik!

I read the book "Quantum Creation" which married quantum physics and God. On the one hand, your name needs to be written in the book of life from the foundation of the world (Rev 13:8) but on the other hand, names can be blotted out (Rev 3:5). The Book of Esther highlights this I believe when it reads:

Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

It's in there bros. Spread the word of Jesus. Look at it this way, it's easier than not lying, sex before marriage, calling your dad a ****git, loving thy enemy, coveting etc.

Now I'm not self rightious, and barely succeed in practicing what I'll to preach but I try to. I last a week or two cause it's hard. Don't condemn and say you're going to hell, just talk about temptation, strength, love, and forgiveness.

Example: God does not inflict upon us what we cannot overcome. If you were born gay you can overcome celibacy, if you think you’re a man living inside a woman’s body you can fight that urge to cut off your penis, if you want an abortion you can look at your baby as a face of adversity and not fold.

If you don't want to be the center of attention cold approach random strangers at a grocery store and politely ask, hey how's it going can I talk to you about Jesus for a minute? If you're shy post on misc or reddit or ********. Sounds like a bad idea but Jesus will appreciate it. He died for our sins, it's the least we can do.

Before you ask, yes Father Stu (Mark Wahlberg) reminded me. Onward Christian soldiers.
This seems trollish, but it's well written.

If you read what Jesus said, you are supposed to pretty much keep being Christian a secret. That is to avoid publicizing how "awesome" you are like jews do.

For instance, you might see a park bench and it says "donated by Ethel and Gary Rosenberg" and Jesus was against that. It's about selling how religious you are which is a power tactic. Jesus was opposed to that so that you focus on good deeds with taking credit for them.

So, it is wrong to stand around "being religious" and trying to make people believe you "know about Jesus" because that makes you a "holy man" instead of a person.

The way Jesus said to influence people is by doing things with them and SHOWING what it is to be a Christian. So, you have to DO Christian stuff, in secret, and just talk about it.

Haha, it's not the same at all. You're just rolling around in your ignorance because it's in direct opposition to your belief.

Everything is a "theory" by the way. It means nothing and certainly supports not even a shred of what you're claiming.

Last thing I'll say here is that Yahweh is an unhinged psychopath. I can provide your own scriptures that show this to be the case. (dead srs)

The Book of Esther highlights this I believe when it reads:

Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

No way to tie it into reality, wut? This is the level of post Im dealing with- Besides quantum physics being informed by, oh idk......experiment.....let's look atjust a fewapplications of quantum physics and technology related to it in the world:

Crookes/cathode-ray tubes, electronics, semiconductors, transistors, MRI, lasers (which includes things from bar code scanners to Blu Ray), electron microscopy, holography, quantum computing, and light emitting devices such as LEDs. Your smart phone alone is using several quantum based technologies.

The above post is essentially anti-intellectualism ('those gosh darned theoretical scientists in their lab coats, what do they know?')- and it's laughable. When there is a lack of education, lack of training in the relevant subjects, this is the result. One thing is for sure, the world wouldnt be where it is with Kraken minded people stooped in anti-science/anti-intellectualism. It'd likely be some brutal dark ages existence. You're free to live in the dark ages all you want (while oddly posting on the internet)....the rest of the world will continue doing its thing just fine.

This is a misunderstanding. He told them to arm themselves not to fight but as a fulfillment of prophecy ie Messiah will be found among criminals or something like that.

Again the level of post Im responding to. You (and your mom, whatever you are trying to babble about) are woefully ignorant of the modern landscape of biology, if you think evolution and common descent is some 40 yr old take and out of date. The absolute fuk? Modernactually trainedbiologists, particularly evolutionary biologists disagree with you. On every level. Whatever you are even trying to say here is nonsense. Modern textbooks would not be centered on evolutionary biology if it were just some trashed, throwaway theory from 40+ years ago. Nonsensical.

And I say you’re wrong on that and you are writing ignorance.

You either don’t understand what you were taught. Extrapolated it into meaning something it didn’t. Or went to a chitty school with chitty professors.

You are much more ignorant than I am of the academic landscape.

Im wrong that modern biology textbooks support evolution? Do we have to go to examples? So you think modern biology and its trained scientists dont support evolution? The hell world are you living in?

What particular research studies coming out of penn state refute common ancestry and evolution? Go.
