Wouldn't ever get up that high again tbh.
Most of us get the taste of speed and then fully understand its dangers. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve gone over 100 on the street. Its also why I opted for a track in the CTS-V. It was the last time ever driving like that. The track is a big thrill, because it removed so many dangerous elements and the risk of hurting others.

When you buy a CTSV, you get a free trip to Las Vegas to run it on the track. Srs

Is there any way for the average Joe to take similar police driving classes?

Also, around ~155 here, at that speed I try not to look at anything but the road, however, theres a heads up display that gave me a hint

I used to hit 140-150mph quite often in the late 90’s with the 240sx I owned. Iirc it was turbocharged but I didn’t do any of the work. My stepdad used to race in a Buick Grand National and I remember it going past 120 many times with us in it on 95.

Classes that involve the average driver on the road will not consist of police type tactics or methods. It will be more of a defensive driving class. This is because defensive driving is very effective for the average person.

You likely have to go to a racing instructor on a track. This will definitely improve your driving, but many times they do not account for the situations that you will deal with on public streets. Even so, learning how to race can improve your response times, situational awareness, and being aware of the physics involved.

many turbo gti's and supercharged vw's can hit 200.

usually it is tuner created and the person spent thousands.

allegedly 125 mph car and 160 mph motorcycle
Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

150mph in 94 corvette similar speed on the back of a motorcycle (friend's zx14, he's dead now from a crash. I was 18 and wearing tshirt/flip flops). Dumb. We used to double to the gym but I would face backwards so it wasn't gay. We would weave traffic and sometimes I would slap the fenders of cars as we passed.

160 to 170 mph, unsure of exact number because tachometer didn’t go that high

My thinking is if you bought a car and made it fast. Most people can't handle a Scat Pack/GT/SS. So much torque it's easy to lose control.

Also kids these days are getting retarded with their cars. Worked with some teenage dishwasher that used to brag about running from the police in his piece of chit old Nissan that he shoved 700hp engine into.

Like a few weeks after he turned 18 he came in all mopey because he got setup with a trap since he would buzz his local police station going over 100 on the regular. Had to go to dead before 25 classes and all this other legal chit, was rofling cuz he got caught weeks after becoming a legal adult.

Passenger = 180-185 mph in a Nascar style stock car on a track
Convertible = drove 125 mph with top down (crazy wind noise) on road
Normal car = multiple ones up to 135 mph on road and drag strip
Cruise control on = 1 hour @ 100 mph through Montana
