I'm also interested in the Saint Victor Pistol and the Saint 300 Blackout version. Heading to the local shop today to see what they've got. They're usually good on price and have a lot in stock.

Watched a few reviews that didn't go well for the Springfield (but didn't seem to be the norm) which is making me lean more towards the Ruger.
Imo you can't go wrong with either choice. Funny I ended up getting the Saint because I read a lot of good reviews for it. The common complaint was that the stock adjustment wasn't so great. I can confirm the stock adjustment is clunky but I just got it set to the position I like and kept it there since. Maybe a stock upgrade may be in order to fix it, I dunno.

But yeah I hear great things about the Ruger 556 so if you have a chance to get it then do

+Yea, I think it was probably just a fluke issue on a few guns.....it was real finicky and picky about the ammo and would have chambering issues. In both cases they upgraded the bolt and it fixed the issue but 95% of the reviews I've watched/read have had no issues with it. I own 2 Springfields (XDs 9mm 3.3 and the Hellcat) and love both of them, so Im not opposed to adding another to the collection.

The local shop says they have the 18" Ruger MPR Cerakoted in "stormtrooper" white and I want to see it in person, but I think it would be sick and if they have it, Ill be the proud owner.

I'll get in on this - looking for advice as next year I hope to build my own. Looking for more of a precision shooter (my range has 200', wouldn't mind being able to go more) - 20" barrel, and being in MD, HBAR. Seems to make sense to go for .223 Wylde. Start with iron sights but scope it later. Any particular recommendations on this idea? Lower budget to start with, tweak from there. What can $1000 or less do if I'm building my own?

Not bad - maybe for the lower. They don't look to have HBAR barrels in 20" nor chambered in wylde (wylde I'm leaning on, but not 100% stuck on). HBAR is a req't to be MD legal, IIRC.

Snuck out of work a little early yesterday.....was cold and rainy.....damn near nobody at the shop.

Checked out a few that I've been looking at and he recommended me a few in my price range. Asked the guy about the Ruger 556 and said they haven't had one in there since last April and he wasn't sure he'd even be able to get one.

Ended up walking out with..........

Springfield Saint Edge....new in the box for $1300. Picked up 200 rounds of 5.56 & 300 rounds of .223

https://www.springfield-armory.com/s...-ar-15-rifles/

Super stoked and cant wait to get to out to the property with it.

Hell yea dude. I'm kind of jealous, but have no regerts on my purchase......the trigger on the Saint Edge is nuts.

Still haven't shot it....between work/rain/holiday stuff just haven't made it out there.

If you do this just get an AR pistol and form 1 it yourself. Make sure it’s not an integrated suppressor or you’re waiting 1 year to get ur gun lol. Also suppressed 556 is kinda meh.

I think the E-File form 1 has wait times down to like less than 90 days

Colt fell off and doesn’t make a lot of their AR15 parts now. They are mediocre now from what I have heard.

It's bullchit. I got one of the newer CR6920s and it's every bit as good as my old LE6920s. There's some guy on YT who breaks down all the components that Colt may subcontract and it's not much.

Interesting… it would be cool to pick up 6920 and create a SOPMOD block 1 clone. LARP to my hearts desire
